Al Holland. They lost alot and are still on top of the region.

Al's a good coach no doubt. His style is worth 6-10 points per game depending on who's refereing. But.... he has the largest pool of kids to choose from (not sure with Letcher now) and they should be right up there each year. Other coaches are doing a lot more with less.

I agree.

A lot of really small schools who are successful this year with less than 400 students. The schools with 6-900 students that don't perform up to expectations of their history should be ashamed. I think it is amazing to see what is being done night in and night out and not just during a regional tourney makes a Coach of the Year. Schools like Buckhorn,Lee,JBS,Jackson City all have legit candidates. I have always been amazed at some of the accomplishments at Booneville with Coach Bobrowski ( I hope I spelled that right). He took a school of less than 400 and was a force night in and night out in the 14th for about ten years. I know he isn't coaching and it is just an example of what I consider the Coach of the Year. :walk:

Then you are asleep at the games. He's an intimidator and uses it to pressure referees, some are more susceptible then others. It's just part of being a good coach and using things to your advantage. Why would anyone take offense at that and put those scary, flaming devils on their response?

I can see you are very proud, congratualtions. But if you don't think Al gets the most out of working the referees then you are doing some serious napping.

Working the refs is part of Coaching but it doesn't give Coach Holland 6-10 points a game, his knowledge of the game and preperation takes care of that! :fire:

Some are more effective then others for various reasons. I'll move on now.
