CKC Results & Standings- Week 7

Featured Replies

We completed regular season play tonight. Montgomery is regular season champs and will host Rowan next Monday for the Conference Championships.

Our kids got to play quite a few games and gain valuable experience. All the coaches were cooperative and everyone seemed to work well together this season.

Overall, very productive for the teams/ programs involved.

This may show up better.

ChiefSmoke, thanks for posting. How was this organized, I assume by the results that both Freshman and JV games are calculated into the final win/loss records, were these final standing used to determine who plays in the finals. For example: Montgomery and Rowan were at the top in Freshman and JV? Did you always play a Freshman and JV game the same day?

Yes- we use the frosh and jv games to determine the standings. Tiebreakers are head to head first and then points allowed. Yes, we always play both games on Monday. If one team can't field a team, we may play a combined game and the other game is a 1-0 forfeit for the purpose of standings for the championship.

This was one of our best seasons. We had a few times that one team couldn't play a frosh or jv game, but every Monday all of us got at least one game and most of the time two. And, when one game was a forfeit, the communication between staffs was good and it worked out that kids still got to play for the most part in the game that was played.

This was Dan Gooch's idea and it has been really good for our programs.

Thanks. Sounds like it worked out well for all teams.
