Why don't kids enjoy playing for Coach Warner?

There were threads in the off season that mentioned declining participation at Ryle , measured by declining roster size. One kid I know that played pee wee with my son left Ryle's program this year. He has a lot of skill and saw varsity time as a freshman. This kid needs football because of tragic circumstances in his life and it saddens me that he does not feel like he can approach the coaching staff.
