It is my understanding that both Coach Thompson and Coach Warner are disciples of this offense which is a run oriented offense whose plays are primarily between the tackles. It is my observation that this offense only seems to be successful when there is an elite back available that has the exceptional athletic and block reading skills to make long gains. If such a back is not available, then these teams (Ryle and Boone) need 10, 12 even 14 plays to score. The odds of being successful seem low.

I can't think of any (consistently) elite programs that are offensively one dimensional. I'm asking BGPers to offer a defense of this offense and offer reasons for its relevance.

There is no justification or relevance to this offense. It didn't produce a state title with a future NFL MVP toting the rock. That should say all that needs to be said...

It works great in Peewee Football!

You can have the best back in KY, if the line doesnt block the backs effectiveness is negated.
