Wow, has to be one of the ugliest games I've seen. Newport was up 7-0 at the half and Dayton started playing good defense in the second quarter through most of the game until the most important drive to end it. Dayton was up 14-7 and got off a good punt around the Newport 40 with two minutes to go. Newport was even killing themselves with penalties on their final drive. Needless to say, the boys in green gave this one away big time.

Dayton's offense played great the second half up past the midpoint of the 4th quarter.

So how did Newport score 2 TD's in the last 2 minutes of the game????

I told you this would be an ugly game between two teams that aren't very good.

My bad, the score was 14-13 instead. Wasn't thinking as clear at the time.

Newport has good speed with a few of their players on offense, just played very ugly. They fumbled quite a few times trying to run the option recovering most of them.
