Pirates welcome Henry Clay.

Belfry has some injury questions. Last week 3 starters missed the Harrison County game, they are all questionable for this week including OLB Zach Francisco. Belfry lost one of their top reserves at HB and a key special teams player in Davontae Dari for the the season during the game. They will also be without LB Madison Ghormley who is in his 4th Year starting after a freak accident this weekend resulted in him having to get stitches on his knee.

Belfry physically man-handled Henry Clay last season in Lexington.

Who wins and why?

I don't know much about Henry Clay for this season but I understand they are considered improved from 2011.

Last season Belfry was better up front and moved the ball well against them on the ground, and that was the difference in the game. Henry Clay had a stellar night from the RB Jackson, scoring on those 3 long TDs. If I remember correctly he had about 175 on those 3 scoring plays out of HC's 240 total. Belfry on the other hand used their RB by committee approach to rack up nearly 500 yds of total offense, with about 400 of those on the ground.

I know both teams are without their stars of that game. Jackson for HC is gone and so is Willis, Dixon, Williams and Dotson for Belfry.

HC has played Ryle and John Hardin close. Can anyone who has seen them play the last two years give us an idea of how much they have improved? What about a report on Dearion Jones and Elijah Bell, the two backs who have been doing most of the damage for HC? What type of backs are they, what should we expect?

I made a mistake earlier saying Jackson is not still on the HC team. I got my wires crossed a bit.

Belfry 25-20.

Really nikeman49?

I don't see either team winning by 4 touchdowns. With the injuries Belfry is nursing, and with HC's size and speed I will be happy to play them close or come away with a close win.

Just wait until you see the final score......HC is soft and cannot handle good, physical play.....they will lay down in the second half...
Belfry 42 HC 14
I don't know much about Belfry. But I did watch HC last week. If Belfry can hold that running game to 14 points I will be surprised. Good Luck to both teams.

jarheade5, how do you compare Henry Clay 2012 to Henry Clay 2011?

They look much better to me this year. The game against Ryle they had close to 400 yards rushing. Turnovers killed them.

Thanks. Their speed makes them a threat to go the distance on any play. Last year I didn't think they played with much intensity in the game I saw especially when they got down a TD in the 2nd half.

This will be a good game for Belfry. I see them winning 28-21.
