Bowling Green/Lafayette Updates

End 1st qtr, BGHS 14, Lafayette 0. Comedy of errors on penalties at first, then the Purple Machine gets cranked up with a 46 yd TD pass from Devin Hayes to Necarius Fant and a 35 yd run by Blue Tisdale!

An interception, a couple of key penalties, and a muffed onside kick enabled Lafayette to tie the game with 0:38 left in the 1st half. However, BGHS got a great kickoff return and worked a very effective two minute offense. They got down to the Lafayette one yard line, and the Generals stopped the Purples with one second left, but got called for a face mask penalty. Tisdale then scored his second rushing TD of the game, and the Purples lead 21-14 at the half.:clap:

At the end of three, it's BGHS 35, Lafayette 14. Blake Pillow scored on an eight yd run and Spencer Renfro caught an eight yd scoring pass from Hayes!:thumb:

Renfro caught another TD pass, this time from 36 yds out, and the Generals tacked on a very late score with less than a minute to go in the game. Final is Purples 42, Generals 20.:clap::thumb
