Colonels roster seems a bit short considering they now have 150 kids in the class.

 

For those that have watched it closer than I how does this roster size compare to previous years?

In reality doesn't everyone beat themselves most of the time. Someone had to create those turnovers right? I hate when people do not give the kids enough credit. What about saying, Campbell did a nice job causing turnovers and converting on 4th and long situations. Give credit to these young men. Usually the team that makes the less mistakes win and that happened to be campbell county who also turned the ball over 3-4 times in this game. Good job to both teams and I wish you the best of luck for the rest of the season.

I agree with CCMS. I was not at the game but heard at one point CCHS was down in the 4th and had 3rd & 3. They had a false start which made it 3rd & 8 then fumbled the snap which made it 4th & 11. They converted the play and ended up scoring the winning TD. I would say CCHS made things happen.

Since neither of you attended the game, I think the comment was made by C-boy more along the lines of mental mistakes. True the other teams causes TO's but sometimes, with more experience, a players realizes that you can't force some things and the CovCath kids at times tried to do more than they could or should have done.

 

This takes nothing away from the Camels team, they played very well and indeed they too make some mental mistakes but they hurt themselves less than the CovCath kids did and thus won the game!

BTW even after watching the film of the game, I can't see the number of the young man who caught the TD pass. Seems the ball first hit the hand of the Campbell County receiver/ player #44 (or so it seems to me) but then I can't read/see the number of the young man from Campbell County who scored the TD.
