John Hardin's 460 yards of total offense were too much for the Blue Devils, who racked up 362 yards themselves, and the visiting Bulldogs earned the 44-27 victory on the first night of high school football in the Bluegrass State.

Henry Clay jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first quarter following 15- and 62-yard runs by Dearion Jones and Elijah Bell, respectively. The teams went back-and-forth throughout the half from there, with John Hardin taking a 22-21 lead into the break.

The Bulldogs went on a 22-0 run following halftime, all three touchdowns coming on Patrick Anderson passes. Anderson finished with 174 yards and four touchdowns on 6-for-11 passing.

Bell had 10 carries for 196 yards and two touchdowns for Henry Clay. The Blue Devils' Rhoman James completed all three of his pass attempts for 79 yards and a touchdown.
