July 14, 201214 yr It is likely b/c it is a money-maker & SK has larger stands than SV. Guarantee the SV AD has thought this out to maximize profit.

Also, Summit View plays all their Home 8th grade games at Simon Kenton, have for the last 4 years or so, (mostly due to the game format of the NKMSAA Schedule.) Also, there are actually 2 pools playing at the same time, therefore someone had to play at SK regardless, why not play at the High School Field.
July 16, 201214 yr When do middle school teams start wearing pads? I mean high school cannot start until August 1st but the middle school is having scrimmages on August 4th. Just seems soon

Just seems soon It is up to each individual school district. Most schools go full contact after one week of practice. Most teams do not start practice until a month before their first game. Several teams start as soon as the dead period is over, some go all summer long (middle school does not have to follow the dead period--even though most schools do)

July 30, 201214 yr Author Scrimmage is getting close. Possible Add to the SK pool scrimmage is pending, will make it even better. Anybody that will be at the AM or Midday pool at SVMS stop by and say hi.

August 6, 201214 yr So does anyone have a report on how the games went? I stopped by at the noon session and Cov Cath was far and away the class of that group. Anyone in the other sessions get close to their talent? I am referring to the 8th grade group.

Oldham Finals Union defeated Summit View 7th was the same from what I was told Union went 3-0 in pool play Summit View went 2-1 Not sure about Rowan and S. Oldham Was a great day of football at both Summit View and Simon Kenton, heard there was a great crowd at Simon Kenton.
