You mean being underfunded and running thin? What more do you want from us in NKy? We pay for those services from the KSP and then again pay for the services that are given to us by the Boone and Kenton County police!

 

Clyde after working at a State Rest area for 13 years, trust me there is a ton of crime from Drugs to Prostitution and more but thankfully the County of Boone did a good job looking out for the traveling public, but it wasn't a problem for the citizens of Boone who paid the freight of patrolling the place!

 

If the state police were fully staffed I guarantee you would see them more in Boone County. As it stands, their presence is needed more in other areas.

All that says is that basically the police will enforce those areas frequently. It says it could be local or state police. What is your point?

All I can tell you is what I see (or don't see). I'm quite familiar with 65.

I'm not sure what you are asking. But you do realize that there are other police in those areas that can patrol the interstate and not just the state police, right? It might be patrolled frequently by locals.

BTW if you notice you rarely see a Kenton County officer patrolling the Interstate and not many community police (other than Erlanger) either anymore and that includes Covington! They tend to patrol their own communities more than the Interstate, anymore!

Kenton? I haven't seen a Kenton County police car in the six months that I have lived in Kenton County on the Interstate from the Boone County/Kenton County line to the Buttermilk exit, except at night, pulling off duty traffic control at the 275 construction on the bridge!

I got pulled over by one on I75 so I can assure you they are out there from time to time.
