Summer Teams weekend of June 9

Featured Replies

I was curious how some of the travel teams did this past weekend that played that have KY high school players on them, especially those teams that were mentioned in a previous thread, like the Beverly Bandits, Cincy Doom, NKY Bandits, Louisville Sluggers, NKY Naturals, KY Xplosion, and any others. If you played this past weekend let us know how your team did and how the KY high school girls on your team did. I was hoping we could keep updated on the KY high school players that play travel ball throughout the summer.

Naturals didn't have a great debut. 3-3 at Rivershore. I wasn't there, but the reports say they played like they only had 1 practice together before entering the tournament. They had some very good moments and some moments they'd like to forget. They are a good group and I'm confident they will turn it around once they get some more time together. Apparently several errors did them in.

Beverly Bandits played in scrimmage games in Chicago this weekend. They played against some great comp and went 1 and 3 I believe. The Bandits will play an 18U schedule besides in Boulder CO and at Nationals (they are all 16U). They played well just couldn't get over the top against some really good teams. They faced pitchers going to Michigan, Purdue, Northwestern and others this weekend.

NKY Bandits go 5-2 in Columbus Ohio in the Capitol City Showdown.

SSC, how did your daughter do? Sounds like a very challenging schedule.

For others, thanks for the updates. Did any players stand out or have a good weekend worth mentioning?

That sounds like a very nice weekend. How many teams where there, and at 5-2 where did you finish?

Louisville Stunners finished 6-1 and allowed the least amount of runs in their pool, but the loss kept them out of the championship game at Capital City Showdown in Columbus, Ohio. Their only lost was to a team from West Virginia. There are players from Collins, Sacred Heart, Bullit East, Bullit Central, PRP, Manual, Jeffersonville Ind. and Charlestown Ind.

Sounds like a great weekend. Who are the pitchers for this Stunners team?

There were 20+ teams in 2 pools with some teams finishing undefeated. Didn't stick around to see who won.

A record of 5-2 is pretty good considering there were 20+ teams. Congrats on winning five games and good luck in the coming weeks. I am interested to hear how well you do the rest of the summer. Good luck.

She did fine, I think she was 1 for 4 and was robbed of a hit, had 3 or 4 walks also, as bad as we hit as a team it was ok, she did really well on D.

Off to Kansas tomorrow.

Good luck in Kansas. Looking forward on hearing how they do.

If everyone can say a prayer we could use it. If we lose our first game we have to play 5 straight Sat to stay in it. We could have around a 24 hour drive round trip and only play 2 games! Gold qualifers are straight 2 and out.
