gamer31
Birds get a complete game by Senior pitcher Grant Duesing on Senior Day in Fort Thomas, striking out 8 and walking 3. Clutch hits by juniors Gabe Schultz and Quinten Murray accounted for the majority of the runs on the board. Highlands will be off this weekend before closing out the season with 3 games next week. jpa2825
Very good to see for Duesing, Bausch (who played 2B) and Meyer (who played 1B). A nice reward for Grant sticking with it and working hard through adversity. A tip of the hat to Bausch who does exactly what is asked of him without questioning and with a great attitude. A much-appreciated "Thanks" to Meyer who, after a slow start, has been crushing the ball over the last 3/4 of the season. Also a "rock" at 1B saving the infielders errors all season with great scoops.
