This is no different than the debate about the POTUS and his family taking a vacation. The girl is on a class trip. The cost of flying , housing, and feeding 25 agents is relatively insignificant. It's a cost of doing business for us taxpayers.

Don't be moronic. It's asinine to think that the POTUS and his family are not going to take vacations AND that those vacations are going to require a lot of protection.

 

It's also unbecoming to use a term like "silver spoon." It reeks of envy which is never good.

I know they go on vacations, but what is next. Does each member get to travel alone to where ever they want to anytime they want too. Heck they just got back from skiing in February on Presidents Day.

I do not envy them. I resent they feel they can just go out and do whatever because they don't have to pay for it. We do.

So you think the first families should have to hole up in the White House for 4 to 8 years? They pay for their personal expenses but the cost of security is taxpayer funded. So what? It's neccessary. Even though 25 agents seems like a lot, my guess is that all of them are neccessary when going into another country.
