2012 Freshmen whom will start or be contributors to their varsity program?

Recommended Posts

The original post was start or contribute. I think Sam Letton will contribute in some role. He was on the FBU Tournament that won 3 games to go to San Antonio. Almost all the kids on that team could be contributing to their high school teams in the fall of 2012.

Nice run after the catch; kid has a burst, but who was the quarterback and what school is he going to. He let that ball fly. A little short, but nonetheless impressive throw form an 8th grader.

Pulaski County had two guys on that same team that went to San Antonio. (PC's middle school, Northern, has been middle school state champs in the big school division the last two years.) Both of these guys will contribute and so will others from that team.

Mason Helton - LB

Riley Hall - QB

Jesse Whitaker - RB

Jake Roberts - OL

Dylan Perkins - NT

It was heck of a group. Had it not been for the 2 day bus ride and playing the day of arrival they probably would have won it all down in Texas.

I was saying that a Freshman starting, or contributing, at a program like LC or Trinity means that the kid is special.

OK. It is hard for any kid to start varsity as a freshman. As 13 (or maybe 14) year-olds they usually have some more physical maturing to do before being able to fully compete with 17-18 year olds.
