I will agree that Worlds isn't as big a deal but completely disagree with you on Nationals. You have to shoot a qualifying score at your state tournament to have the opportunity to go to Nationals and even then it doesn't guarantee you a spot. The KY teams just usually go because it's so close. Worlds has not been in Louisville. It use to be in Orlando every year. They started moving it around a few years ago. The 2 closest places it's been...

Well, you would be wrong. I coached an elementary school team 2 years, and helped with a middle school team last year. Went to nationals all 3 years and to worlds once. Could have gone to worlds all 3 but it's typically far off. most of the kids on our teams have their own bows but not targets and not really any where to practice. Their are a few archery shops around that have a range but only a few lanes. With every school in Henderson having...

Forget about the gun, the difference in optics today versus when GSgt. Hathcock made his shot are like living on Earth versus the moon.

Yes, the kids on the archery team could practice on their own except most don't have their own equipment. A lot of them use school bows, targets, and arrows. Not to mention where do they practice if they have the equipment. Unless they practice at their school's facilities they can't practiceYes they could go in the back yard but that isn't practicing tournament conditions. I never killed the KHSAA for enforcing their rule. I simply asked why...

I'm not sure why it should matter if it's sanctioned or not? It's a part of the archery season. If the KHSAA is going to make them abide by the dead period then they need to make exceptions for the events that are directly affected by it.

Actually it literally does affect another sport, archery. The world tournament this year is July 22nd, 2 years ago it was the same, 3 years ago it started July 11th, ect... Even if the tournament doesn't fall in the dead period the teams can't practice leading up to it.

Why have 1 dead period a year that applies to all? Why not have specific dead periods for each sport/activity that would work with that sport/activities competition schedule better?

ALL unwritten rules are stupid. I do not care what the situation is, a batter's job is to get on base. 20-0 bottom of the 9th, 2 outs and a perfect game on he line, everything is fair game. Baseball players/ fans can be some of the biggest cry babies in pro sports.

I hate that crap too. Players should have to play in at least 1 inning of every game of pool play to play when it really counts.

I refused to let my kids play T Ball. They learn nothing and it's painful to watch. 5/6 year old is bad enough.

Sounds like the issue is your league sucks. Yeah the coach has issues if he is trying to cheat but he is only able to cheat because the league isn't doing their job.

First I want to make it clear that I have never once said what was actually happening inside the vehicle so I would love for you to show me where I did. My posts have been made as a "what if". Castile could have had his hands on the steering wheel for all I know. So pretty much half your post here is invalid. Regarding what the second officer , you're the only one saying what he was looking at. Yes he was looking at the car, anything beyond...

First, I never claimed to be able to see what is going on inside. My question was under the assumption he is reaching for something. I never said that was fact. The officer said he was reaching for something, he told him several times to stop. Under that premise I'm asking what the officer should have do. IF, the officer thought he was reaching for the gun at what point is he justified in shooting? Forget about this specific incident and make it...

I asked the question twice. You did not answer it, you simply said the officer doesn't belong on the streets with a gun.

No, I'm taking all the evidence into account and discussing it. What I'm not doing is making opinions one way or the other based on limited info/facts. Please explain to me how you can see where the second officer is looking. Can you say 100% that he isn't watching the girl friend or the kid? What the officer has said is just part of the whole. The dash cam video seems to support his version.

You've only said the officer doesn't belong on the streets with a gun based on nothing more than your opinion that he shot Castile because he was black. I've asked multiple times what the officer should have done if he believed Castile was reaching for the gun. You have avoided the question like the plague.

Where on the video can you see what the second can see? Or what he was even looking at? Did the second officer state he retreated because the first officer was firing in his direction? You're right, what we can see is Castile tell the officer he has a gun, the officer calmly tell Castile not to reach for it, then begin excitedly tell him repeatedly tell him not to reach while pulling his gun, then shooting Castile. So either Castile wasn't...

So in your opinion Castile didn't reach for anything...wallet, drink, smoke, insurance, booger, nothing...and the officer, who by all accounts was calm even after initially being told there was a gun, just shot him for no reason?

Again, the second officer is on the other side and back. What could he see? .03 from the time the first officer pulls his gun to the first shot. The second officer didn't even pull his gun then, he just retreated. Who?

.06 from the time he told started telling him about the gun until he was shot. About .03 from the time the officer pulled his gun to the first shot. The second officer was on the other side of the car towards the passenger door. At what point was he supposed to pull his gun?

Went back and watched it again, Castile handed the officer something right before he told him about the gun. I assume it was his lic or insurance or both.

Agreed. Every single person out there that wants to carry a gun on their person or in their car needs to watch this video on what could happen. Tell the officer you have a gun with both hands in plain sight (on the wheel) and wait for direction. Do not reach for anything unless the officer knows what you are reaching for. He asked for lic and insurance then Castile made it known he had a gun. At that point the lic and insurance are not a...
