Bishop Brossart 75 Mason County 47

Zones have definitely slowed Calvary and Rusch down this year. Making for some boring, drawn out games. Against Dayton (at Dayton), Calvary literally held the ball for the whole 3rd quarter up by 5 waiting for Dayton to come out of their packed zone. They did not come out of their zone and Calvary won the chess match in the end and then blew Dayton out at home. Calvary is fun to watch in the open floor. I wonder has mcpapa seen Calvary play? One of the reporters from the region finally came to a Calvary game, but it was at Silver Grove, because he thought that he would see a good game between the two teams. That seemed a little insulting, especially to Calvary who plays at a much higher level. It was sad that they didn't know that. Who covers the upper 10th region and the 37th district besides Mustang? I appreciate the positive, honest, and thorough job he does in covering Brossart and who they play against. -
Great game played by the Cougars. Rusch (26 pts.) finds Moran for last second layup.

Game was a lot closer than the 14 point win by Scott. Calvary had a chance to steal one from Scott tonight. Missed free throws down the stretch for Calvary really did them in. Scott was not themselves tonight. They looked tired and Calvary just wouldn't go away. -

Mason Rusch for Calvary out with a foot injury tonight. -

Calvary should have won by 20. Rusch for the Cougars didn’t get going till the 2nd half. He finished with 28. Wildcats still trying to figure things out without Allen. -

Campbell didn't miss. Very disciplined. Probably shot over 75% from everywhere. Too strong. They doubled and at times triple teamed Rusch for Calvary. Should have been a little closer, but Campbell is no joke and will make a solid run into state this year. -

Second half Robertson Co. didn’t miss from 3, Devil’s bigs too much for Calvary. Rusch couldn’t find his rhythm for the Cougars. -
Talent-wise, he's definitely top 10. point.QUOTE=XregCoach;6637545]Only reason Mason Rusch isnt in the Top 10 to watch is 1) He's sub 6 foot, 2) He plays at Calvary Christian. So that doesn't make much sense. If he is top 10, he's top 10. Regardless of where he plays and his height. Funny how he averaged more and anyone in the NKY region except Allen (Pendleton) and still not top 10. Not sure who does the rankings, but the marginalization of smaller schools is ridiculous. School choice should not play into talent recognition. If you can play, you can play. He has more than proven himself. He has to show out this season though to get any looks. Best of luck to him and hope to get out and see him play this season at some point.

Calvary sophomore duo Mason Rusch with 34 pts. and Josh Moran with 16. Good season for the Cougars. Well deserved win for Campbell.
