  1. I sure will miss these games. That might have been the biggest crowd ever at an East Carter football game. And it goes to show you what that rivalry does. It brings out the best in your teams. Honestly, the Raiders were the better team, but the Comets were gonna give them all they could handle, and they kept pounding away, to the point we were tied late in the 4th quarter. Everything you could ask for in a ball game. Proud of my Raiders and respect to the Comets. We might have 2 or 3 more left.
  2. The 74th Recreation Bowl ended at 1:00am Sunday morning after a delayed start and multiple lightning delays. East Carter’s Isaac Boggs as named Bowl MVP.
  3. @DevilMayCareposted that Mason County leads the series 16-8. I’m not certain to be honest, but 0-11 doesn’t sound right.
  4. Russell’s Senior LB, Connor Goodall! Dominate MLB.
  5. Thank you for correcting me. My mind thought one thing and fingers typed another. You’re right District 7 of Class 3A. My error.
  6. East Carter will host Ashland in the 16th Region Championship at Steve Womack Field. The Raiders have never beaten the Tomcats. Ashland won the regular season contest (31-20) after a costly fumble by East Carter in the 4th Quarter, during a potentially game tying drive. How do you feel the teams match up for the second meeting with their seasons on the line?
  7. I may be wrong, because I don’t know exactly how they’re handling the Covid wins and losses. But I was told, once the regular season is complete, they will adjust the records to reflect Covid results. So, the Raiders should finish at 8-2 on the season. Should be 7-2, because, in my opinion, Lawrence (or any team for that matter) doesn’t deserve a loss because of covid. It should be a ruled no contest. Either way, awesome season for East Carter. On to the playoffs. Go Raiders!!!
  8. There’s no such thing as a moral victory this late in the season, especially in district play. That being said, the Raiders stayed with the Tomcats until late in the 4th quarter. Iron sharpens Iron and both teams will be better come playoffs next month. This was a fun game to watch.
  9. I agree with this 100%! I actually have several good friends with boys in that team. I hope they go 9-1 every year. I was a pulling for them as much as anyone last year when they were making their run at state. Nothing better than Carter Co football. This will be a good game Friday. Hope to see a huge crowd at the field.
  10. Next week @ Estill Co rescheduled for Oct 1st.
