Unfortunately, LaRue County gets a matchup with PRP in the first round of the state tournament, who happens to have the best record in the state at 36-3. LaRue County will surely have Brayden Singleton on the mound, who is their best pitcher. He was able to shut out Central Hardin in the 5th region tournament.

This battle of the Bruins is intriguing on many levels. Like always, Central Hardin will need to establish the run game and limit the big plays downfield by Ballard's offense. Central Hardin will face a team in Ballard that is just as physical up front on both sides of the ball and probably has better athletes on both sides of the ball. A difference maker for CH is DB Caden Elmore who had 2 more picks last night vs. Daviess County. He is another great option at the QB position and is more decisive and gets the ball out quicker than Zach Spurrier. I am not sure Central Hardin wins a track meet and must keep it low scoring to have a chance. I think Ballard shocked everyone by beating Manual in a surprisingly high scoring game. Ballard took advantage of 3 Manual turnovers in the first half to keep the game close and came away with a great 2OT win in their first win over Manual in 10 years. My Prediction: Ballard 28 Central Hardin 21

Manual 35 Ballard 35 4th qtr. -
Central Hardin wins with a dominating performance on both sides of the ball giving up a late 4th qtr. TD only when the backup defensive players were on the field. On to the 3rd round of the playoffs.
