10 Good
  1. In all the games I have been to this year, this was the worst officiated. Ref even got into it with fan after game. What a shame for both teams to have it end this way.
  2. Mercy had two other seniors out for game but came out on top. Good play from freshmen and sophomores and only other senior Doherty but Hartlage had a strong performance and nearly half the points
  3. The inaugural Queen of the Bluegrass hurt the Republic Bank tournament...but Marion still would have won it. Butler pulled off nice wins over Manual and Ballard. Will be fun to watch at Montgomery Co. Sacred Heart had a nice win in Phoenix but lost Merriweather to a knee injury.
  4. Nice report. Some nice players on those two teams
  5. What and who created all those turnovers. Saw Manual caused Assumption 30?
  6. Do not appear to be. Had a couple of nice 8th graders last year that ended up at other schools for high school. One at Manual playing varsity
  7. Read on Owensboro Messenger website that she doesn't think it is as bad as what she thought it was when she went down. But it is the same knee. She is also ranked 6th in the U.S. Her AAU team won Nationals this year. She was named Co-MVP on the gold-medal winning Jr. Olympics team this summer coming off the ACL injury last year. I have watched her on occasion since she was in grade school. Highly recommend going and seeing her team play if you get the opportunity. Special player.
  8. Saw she went out complaining about knee again tonight. Anyone have any details?
  9. Mercy plays Etown this week. Put a hurt on Christian Academy last night. Butler dropped to Pleasure Ridge tonight.
  10. This one went down to the wire. Daphne Brown had a career high 30 and Alyx White had 14. Calderon is out for Jeffersontown. Iroquois was hurt when Brown fouled out early in fourth quarter.
  11. The coaches were sent a ballot from Jason Frakes asking to submit their nominations and return to him.
  12. This is an extremely talented group. Don't know how they will respond to new coach but they are deep. Layfiled, O'Bannon's niece, is the real deal and she is just a junior. Maatchen is underrated in many rankings and Richardson and the two Martins are solid. Then you have their highly touted transfer senior in Banks. But they all have to play as a team to come out of the 7th.
  13. Yes, the two Kiselers are brother and sister and there is a younger one too. All talented. The Anderson County bunch will be there come February. They do have the pressure but they also have the talent.
  14. Good solid group of seniors and Kieslet at 6 6 but not aold on them. Beat Anderson but just didn't seem to have chemistry.
  15. I thought Butler won. But was at a couple of those games and coaches weren't exactly playing their starters the whole game to win. Don't be fooled by preseason.
