It's hard to believe Williams could guard Parks as close as he did all over the floor and not foul him. As a matter of fact as much as I wanted to believe he was fouling him there was no justification for the ref to call one. Very good defense! Therefore a lot of credit goes to Parks for keeping his poise throughout the game. The game was filled with excitement -- very good defense and a load of big time shots. Previous posts imply that the Camels lost it at the line but the truth is Clark won the game in the end.
Both teams showed a lot of poise especially at the end, it's just a shame there can only be one winner and in this case it happened to be the Cards.
I know I'll forget some players here but some big time play during the game:
Williams defense on Parks -- relentless
Parks savy in bringing the ball up the floor -- impressive
Nerl's all around game was solid
Stenzel's free throws to put them up three with 30? seconds were huge
Albrecht played a solid game
Hatton had an excellent game
Andy Franzen to Ben Franzen to tie it with 20 seconds left was a big time play
and contrary to the Scott game, the Camels defense on Clarks final possession was perfect until the ball landed in the hands of #40 who laid back in-------- a heartbreaker for the Camels but as I stated earlier no one lost this game, the Clark Couty team won it. The Camels have a lot to be proud of.
Once again congratulations to Coach Humphrey and the Cardinals and Good Luck against Mason!
