10 Good
  1. If sophomore Deondre Jackson (Campbell County) is not in the discussion then this is a huge shocker! That kid is good.
  2. It's hard to believe Williams could guard Parks as close as he did all over the floor and not foul him. As a matter of fact as much as I wanted to believe he was fouling him there was no justification for the ref to call one. Very good defense! Therefore a lot of credit goes to Parks for keeping his poise throughout the game. The game was filled with excitement -- very good defense and a load of big time shots. Previous posts imply that the Camels lost it at the line but the truth is Clark won the game in the end. Both teams showed a lot of poise especially at the end, it's just a shame there can only be one winner and in this case it happened to be the Cards. I know I'll forget some players here but some big time play during the game: Williams defense on Parks -- relentless Parks savy in bringing the ball up the floor -- impressive Nerl's all around game was solid Stenzel's free throws to put them up three with 30? seconds were huge Albrecht played a solid game Hatton had an excellent game Andy Franzen to Ben Franzen to tie it with 20 seconds left was a big time play and contrary to the Scott game, the Camels defense on Clarks final possession was perfect until the ball landed in the hands of #40 who laid back in-------- a heartbreaker for the Camels but as I stated earlier no one lost this game, the Clark Couty team won it. The Camels have a lot to be proud of. Once again congratulations to Coach Humphrey and the Cardinals and Good Luck against Mason!
  3. I'd like to see some stats on Campbell field goal percentages. I may be wrong , but it seems they do a pretty good job on 3 point field goal percentages.
  4. It's a strange situation that Campbell County is experiencing when their style of play is a slower tempo but the team seems be pretty comfortable at fast paced game. I believe as you've seen with the pevious posts that everyone feels the Camels can't handle an up tempo game. I don't believe that's the case at all. I'm looking forward to seeing Clark play, I've heard a lot of good things about them.
  5. For what ever reason the Camels choose to slow the game down. Yes they play good defense, and are very deliberate with the ball. I don't think people understand that there have been several games in the latter part of the year when the Camels have come out and scored 20 plus points in the first quarter, only to slow the tempo there after. It's part of the game plan. Don't get the impression that they can't score, they have four or five that can put up 10 -16 points on any given night. It's just not part of the game plan to score a lot of points
  6. Camels need this win against a good Montgomery team not only to prove to some around the region that they're a 10th region competitor but more important is the confidence as a result. For those who have been tracking the Camel season, there is much promise to the way this season will play out. I believe that it's going to take a quality win for this team to gain the confidence that they'll need to make a run in the districts and the region. I pick he Camels
  7. [quote=TEX;2576438]You wrong what has he missed I see nothing now this year there pretty good but they would be better with Coach Reitz. You just don't win the region 2 times. From just having good players this guy made good teams great. You need more research before you say his teams don't play defense. What's your basis behind this statement? The fact that he has won the region twice doesn't mean that the current team would be better with Reitz at the helm. I would agree that at this stage of the season from looking at the record (7 and 2) that things don't look a whole lot different than the past couple of years, but the difference is the attitude and the makeup of the team as a whole. Your entitled to your opinion ---we'll find out just how different this team is in the month of January
  8. Congratulations to the Indians. Clark had a very good tournament. I would assume he was the MVP?
  9. Should be an interesting game. Curious to see if Campbell defense can stop big men for the Indians.
