  1. Reardon was offered preferred walkon at University of Akron in early February and took Western Illinois because they threw some money at him. Both QB spots in Division I programs. Not too many other kids in NKY going Div I, either as preferred walkons or scholarship. Not too many had the choice of two schools. Obviously both programs believe he has enough talent to be Div I. If I am correct, only about 6 player in NKY have this opportunity - and not for lack of trying. Most kids don't settle for Div II or III because they believe they are getting a better education. It is because they are not getting asked to be a part of a Div I program. College coaches at any level need to win. Their jobs depend on it. They recruit who they believe will help them win. Period.
  2. Obviously the coaches at Western Illinois thought he was a better QB. They saw film of him as a punter and QB and recruited him as a QB.
  3. Yes, he is a QB. They saw him at camp this summer and have been keeping tabs on him.
  4. HE DID NOT GET A SCHOLARSHIP. HE IS A "PREFEREED" WALK-ON, WHICH MEANS HE WILL BE TREATED AS A SCHOLARSHIP ATHLETE AND WILL NOT HAVE TO TRY OUT AS A WALK ON PLAYER. HE HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EARN A SCHOLARSHIP THE FOLLOWING YEAR. STILL A BIG DEAL FOR DIV-1 COLLEGE FOOTBALL!! GODD LUCK!!
