  1. If by some chance Ashland loses to Rose Hill, if they can avoid Elliott in the first round, they could probably beat anyone in Morehead.

Course that also depends on Elliott beating East Carter. If's are FUN!

Course if they beat Rose Hill, I won't be doing very well.

Even if Ashland would upset Rose Hill, not gonna happen, they will be the under dog no matter who they draw.

  2. Who cares about the District Championship game?

...both teams are in the Regionals -- it's not an elimination game, so why get excited about it other than playing a runner-up as an opponent at Morehead instead of playing another District Champion as the District's runner-up???

That question defys all logic:creepy:That would be like saying "Who do you want to play Elliott County or Russell? And you guys decided that already during the regular season.

  3. If they play like they played vs. Lewis then they probably will miss the lay ups. I seen alot of missed lay ups that game from Raceland so I think Greenup should take the chance and press.

The problem for GC is Lewis is 15 points better than they are.No disrespect towards the kids but if you have had 4 coaches in a year its hard to keep on track. IMO GC has no match-up advantage at any position from 1-8.

  4. Seeing how this forum/website is dedicated to sports we often only hear about the athletic exploits of schools, in particular Raceland. We often miss out on other great aspects that are going on inside the walls of all the high schools that we mention on this website. I have heard "GREAT" things about the administration, faculty, and student body at Raceland. I was told the kids are very respectful and the school spirit runs rampant through the hallways. Sounds like a fantastic place. When you take a drive down US 23, you only have to look over toward the Ohio River to see all the great things that are being done on campus. Top notch facilities for a Class A school match a top notch administration and student body.

I really don't have a favorite memory, but I can tell you I sure have enjoyed watching former Ram Aaron Pettrey kick for my Ohio State Buckeyes.

Thanks 3 high, we too are proud of Aaron as we are of all graduates of Raceland High.

  5. Boss, one of you best literary endeavors. My heart rate went up a little, when I read it.

It's a Raceland thing, if you have to ask, you wouldn't understand.

People drive by Raceland schools everyday, and wonder what is so special about that school. If they would just stop and visit. Ask for permission from the superintendent to walk the halls, talk to the staff and students. Observe for a day. They would soon find out.

    That deserves a hardy AMEN!

  6. Let's hear it. Who was the best team to ever take the field at your alma matter?

    For me....

1991 Raceland (63rd District Champions; 16th Region Champions)

Matt Bostic, Brian Fletcher, Shane Davidson (R.I.P.), Rob Pence, Brent Mackie, Brent Boyer, Ryan McKenzie, Kenny Salyers, Chris Potter, Lance Black

Not bad, just not as good as the 1982 team,Bobby Trimble,Danny Bostick, Kenny Large, Chuck Barker, Teddy Perry, Bobby Braden, etc

  7. As a True Ram we are still living it every year the Rams take the field. The blood, sweat and bile we left on that field an in that weight room still pulsate through every teenager boy that takes that field. We are a family that corrects are young when they don't live up to their potential and hug them when they give their all. Hoof understands as does his assts. even if they didn't grad. from Raceland they have been adopted into this family. We can't explain Ram blood to our wives, girlfriends or anybody else if you haven't done it don't even ask. Our best memories are yet to come."So let it be written,so let it be done".
