What on earth do you call a good shooter? by your definition of this kid not being a good shooter I'm sure no one would qualify!

Great kid, I know he & his family well & very happy for all of them. I think he will have a great career there. Congrats Matt

When Casy Alsop/Scott Co, was a Sr. The KY coach stated in the Lex H-L he was going to run & shoot the 3 so who better than Casey for this game. Casey does not get selected & Ky shoots something like 3-26 from 3's at Indy & gets blown out. Its always way to political like most of these things are & you see what happens most of the time

East Bank, If Slone has been double and triple teamed since his freshmen year then it is even more astonishing that Paintsville has not won their region! With the other talent on that team & him being gaurded this way 1 or 2 others should be able to pull the slack or is Slone forcing shots when he is being double & tripled teamed therefore not allowing others to help?

I agree with 5 in this group however the most overrated player in the class of 08" since his freshman year is Slone. He is a really good player but no where near the top 6. I feel expectations like this have hurt him over the years. That & the fact of how his team has so much termoil

Was Miss St. in the recruiting of Benock all along or did they just come in late and get him with the aid of Stansbury originally being from Meade Co and an opportunity to play in the SEC?

Is this Coach Keith Greisser from Scott County? If so congrats to Coach Greisser, maybe you should have him sing National Anthem at his first home game. The guy should have been on American Idol I gaurentee he would win.

Will Vanhoose be healthy enough to play? and would he chance the knee so quickly?

Congrats to Jeremy Anderson he is a fun player to watch. A very good player I just wish he would have gone to Western, Eastern, Marshall somewhere close by so we could have seen him play more often.

I totally disagree with this but we both get to state our opinions. Slone scores 51 as a freshman & hasn't completely live up to that since. He is a very good player but IMO Stepp and Hicks are better. Just IMO

Did the Ky Shining Stars team play this weekend? Team Ky played extremely well in Florence winning the BCI Super Showcase I think it was called. They beat D-S East by around 20 after leading by as much as 32! I believe I was told they hit 17 3's led by Tyler Maynard-Elliot Co.with 7, Jordan Adams-Scott Co & Noah Keeton-Lincoln Co each with 3 or 4. Team Ky was playing without 6'8 Jordan Stephens, 6'7" Connor Krail so this looks to be a good team in the making. D-S East did not have Tyler Portwood. Both teams should be fun to watch this spring & summer

Why would you UofL or Gator fans, or Commodore fans hate Tubby ? He is the best thing to ever happen to your programs! Maybe all 3 can get a home & home with Minnesota on the schedule starting next year!

Just announced Larry "Scooter" Charles is the new Elliott Co. baseball coach. Good Luck!! Elliott Co. is not known for it's baseball program, but maybe with a good coach who is not willing to give up and put time and effort into this program they will become a powerhouse in baseball as well!! Great sign for Cumberland, I thought he would end up at this level even though I thought skill wise he could play in the OVC. He was just lacking the bulk & strength IMO as he has the frame for it. His situation reminded me of Silverhorn from Shelby Co who was a very productive player for 4 years at Georgetown. Both could have easily played in the OVC after a year of development. G'town got a steal there just as Cumberland has in Daniel. In 3yrs the OVC will say we missed one here. Congrats to Matt Daniel

Trust me I believe the foul occurs way more often than the flop. What I am so concerned about is the shooter getting an ankle broken or a knee torn up & his year is over! if this is not made a point of emphasis & coaches advised the refs are going to call it then a kid is going to be hurt bad!

Throught the year I continuously saw defenders step back into the jump shooters as to block out before the shooter ever came back to the floor. Everyone really knew it was not as much an attempt to block out as it was to distract the shooter. The big problem is the shooter is going to seriously hurt an ankle or knee or something, possibly ruining their career and their teams year! This was probably not called 10% of the time. A lot of times it was only called if the shooter missed the shot,and that is not the point! The point is it needs to be stopped before a serious injury occurs ! Why is this not called & do you think this should be looked at more closely next year?

I disagree keep it for the small schools,700 is not a small school especially when a 250 - 350 school has to compete with them.

Landon Slone will not be considered a front runner, possibly 2nd team all-state next year at best. Mackey, Miller,the kid fr UH & Henderson are probable front runners IMO
