  1. Aaron Hall was pretty good he's tall and can go up for the ball, If Marcus Washington works on his hands he could be a third option at the Receiver position.

Hip Hop.....Washington is a good high school football player; however, he is not the Difference Maker that Tillman is....I understand that there is No I in the word TEAM....However a Master Chef must realize that he needs Chickens to go into his Chicken Salad.....:thumb:

  2. If Frankfort never threw the ball again next year they would be very good. Besided that they had two very good JV recievers last year that could play in any spread attack not as big not as good, but good enough, for 4 passes a game.

Monday nights and Friday nights are two different variables...Tillman flanking the offense allows 1 less defender inside the box for Mr. Weaver to deal with...

  3. Well I told him I wanted him in the weight room. I havent been able to follow up on him since the legislative session been going on but now that I know he hasnt been I may have to bring him personally... Mark my words he will get out of South Frankfort.

I hear you Hip Hop...More coaches need to engage in grassroot operational tactics...Bucket, I understand the message that you are sending; however, you do not have anyone in your stable to be more productive as Tillman at receiver......:sssh:

  4. Thanks. Maniello is the only N. Ky. player listed there. Once again, it seems N. Ky. does not get the D1 scholarships you would expect with the quality of teams up here. No Highlands players getting D1 looks?

How about the last few years? What players from N. Ky. have signed D1 letters over the past 5-10 years? Is this just a down year on the D1 scale?

D1 offers are no Validation for all of the Good high school football players.....:notworthy:

  5. Also depends on what road that bus is traveling on. If you see a good deal of 2 TE power run type game it is just not your best choice. Just like a split 6 is not your best choice against a 4-5 wide throw it every down type defense. Now if you have the right horses for it then it handles itself just fine on the HS level. The teams that cause problems with it I think have more to do with talent then the scheme.[/quote

Just because you change a formation does not mean that you have changed philosophies.....I agree totally, if you are remaining in your base, and teams start to attack the Integrity of what you wish to do, you are by 40....Meaning that you are subject to get beat by 40 points or more....Remember that it's not what you do, but how it's done that's most important....This is why you need a good Bus Driver......:thumb:

  6. Frankfort runs the 3-5-3. They way they run this defense is to create pressure. Some of the basics are from Bob Redmonds scheme. The scheme is designed to put your best and fastest players on the field. Every play is a designed stunt. The kids have a lot of freedom, when a window opens they are allowed to take it. It works best against spread teams. It allows to put pressure from different spots on the field. The flanks (OLB) can create a lot of pressure off the edge. most Shotgun teams have a hard time protecting.

What hurts is when you face big power teams. Sometime your speed guys aren't as big to take the power.

Which calls for a personnel adjustment, not a schematic adjustment.......:thumb:
