Shane Smith- OC at Frankfort High

Best of Luck to Mr. Sullivan on the next level............:thumb:

I hate to be the negative nelly, but none of these teams have a shot of touching X or T.
If we are looking for who will be number 3, I think a team that has a shot is Scott County. Coach McKee always has those guys ready. I hope that one of the Lexington teams can step up as well.
Very wel put.....All roads end with the Rocks or the X-Men....:isurrender:
-
Is he going to play Basketball also?
DM is an athlete, the more he is involved with that is positive, the less he will get involved with negative.....:thumb:

Male finished first and second in the 4 by 100 relay saturday in their Track invitational....First place was 43.6 and second was 43.8....They have the legs to make another deep post season run......:scared:
-
I know the player you're speaking of and he is talented, but will he be able to remain eligible? I know the problems he has had in the past. Are these corrected?
I'm sure he will be fine during the Fall....Once Hoop season starts the situation may change....He will make a difference even if he just plays in the District Games....The Panthers of South Frankfort beware, the Warriors intend on making a run the District Title.......
-
Name? Where did he play. I know they have a kid from Shelby Co.
PRP.......Coach Bucket, he can play!!:scared:
-
They are in every sport in KY. The ONLY sport where not every team makes the playoffs is football. If the other sports will cut their playoff teams then football can do it as well. If not, ... no dice.
When teams with losing records within their districts go to the post season tournament. This sends the wrong message...I would be for it in other sports as well, but we are primarily speaking of Football.:taz:
-
Do not allow teams with losing records within their districts into the post season tournament........

What does Acklin coach? (I know football but position(s), OC, DC)
He coaches the Defense at Shelby County, and has had stints at Frankfort, Covington Holmes, and Lousiville Ballard.......
-
Who is the new Coach?
-
Hate that for the kids. They should call Tommy Acklin at Shelby Co. He would make a good head coach.
I don't think Acklin would be a good fit for Trimble...He seems to be fine where he is....
-
I agree and that's certainly a benefit. I just thought "preferred walk on" meant a little more than that. Are you certain that's all it entails? I mean, if the coach thought this player had a truly legitimate shot of making and helping the team, wouldn't he have offered at least a small partial scholarship?
I'm not sure of all of the ins and outs; however, I do know that the Preferred Walk On has an advantage over the Walk On who is not......

I don't know what you are use to but Lloyd doesn't have one.:lol:Also I know that Lloyd has tried but they want know part of it.:isurrender:IMO there needs to be an entire change in the staff and everyone who heads the Erlanger Lions. It has changed for the worse in the last 10 years. I'm tired of seeing my almamater suffer because its feeder program is starving them! The Lions need to feed Lloyd NOT Beechwood NOT Cov Cath NO ONE else but Lloyd! They have their own feeder programs!:irked::irked: I'm very passionate about this subject if you can't tell.
I understand your passion for your alma matter....Does Lloyd have any control over who coaches and operates their youth league? This was an issue with the Covington Bengal Tigers in 2001, when several playmakers went to another school in the NKY area.:sssh:
-
By arriving at the same time as the scholarship players, they are given equal oppertunity to absorb information, instead of being 3 weeks behind......:walk:
-
Did he get another job? The Economy is too bad to quit and not have something lined up..........:scared:
-
They need to hire Kenny Walker as the DC.....He is currently the Wrestling Coach, and was a former Head Football Coach at Shawnee.......:eyeonyou:
-
I think this is a recent trend...Lloyd losing players to other schools. Why did this start happening?
Lloyd needs to utilize it's Outreach and Admissions Department more efficiently....Show the youth league Players and Coaches some LOVE, and less players will attend other high schools.....:thumb:
-
Congrats to Hicks....Union has some Players!!:taz:
-
Just some inspiration... Players see these top 10 polls and tend to slack off during spring practices.
FWIW...They have no clue.
Hip Hop, the Panthers have been in the Top 10 since the '06 preseason. Threfore this is an EXPECTATION. You would have to magical powers to convince anyone on this board that there are 9 class A teams better than Frankfort. :jump:
-
Frankfort is not a top 10 team right now.
What makes you say this Brother Hip Hop?
-
Old Shelbyville road, or Poplar level.....Take your pick...:notworthy:
-
I agree with you Hip - Hop, and if Mr. Mason gets his agenda tight, he will be another weapon for South Frankfort opponents to deal with....I'll see you at the Rib Shack this evening.....:taz:

The Wood is the Team to beat in Class A........
