The Falcons are the real deal...though East fumbling the ball 9 times didn't help. That being said, East fumbled because Ft. Campbell knocked the snot out of who ever they hit. Interesting fact, Ft. Campbell won by 35 and outgained East by a total of 37 offensive yards.
#1 for the Falcons is fun to watch.
They get alot of points with special teams and there defense...To me, that's what makes them so good...

You've gotta think the Falcons would have somewhat of a let down after 2 big early season games and PT on the horizon...Union Co is an improved team, but, don't have the horses to play 4 qtrs with Ft C...I think it'll be fairly close in the 1st half with Union wearing down and giving up 2 or 3 4th quarter scores...FtC 48 UC 14...

I think Hopkinsville will pull this one out at home...Hop'town 28 O'boro 21

Very impressive win for the Falcons...These guys are deep and talented and would likely be a Top 5 team in any of the Top 5 classes and likely a Top 10 team even in 6a...It's definately an advantage to dress as many kids as they do and not only dress, but, put numbers like that with quality talent, especially against 2a competition who normally don't go near that deep in # or talent...

I think Ft Campbells always had the talent, but, traditionally, they would lay an egg in the playoffs, up until last year. I believe that barrier is now behind them and the confidence factor is there, unlike in the past. They seem to be playing with a little swagger now and thats a bigger factor than most give credit for. WEast is one of the favorites to represent the west in 4a this year and will be a firm test for the Falcons. I would normally pick the larger enrolled school in this situation, as a good 4a team will normally beat a good 2a team, but, considering Ft Campbell dresses about 65-70 kids and have talent 2 deep in almost every position, I don't think the 4a/2a label will have any bearing in this one.... St Thomas Moore did indeed go 12-0 last year and won the Ontario City League...They beat the same team they beat last year in the finals this week in there opener, 14-7...They did play 1 Ohio team last year, Cleveland Heights and won 12-0...I think they'll be a very tough game for Johnson Central...

To bad the Birds have to travel out of NKY to find a team to compete with,Colerain takes this game going away good luck to both teams.
I'm sure there's a few teams right here in Ky that'll compete with them quite well...
-
Good luck to the Highlands team but to be honest, I think Colerain wins this walking away, especially without there key RB..Hope I'm wrong, but, if the Bluebirds can stay within 3 scores, I'd consider that a successful showing...
-
Yeah, I see both NCC and Ft Campbell, having a few road blocks along the way, although NCCs path should be a little easier...

It sounded like Mayfield played with them pretty equally the 1st half as they led early and had another opportunity or 2 to add more, but, when Ft Campbell tied it up in the 2nd qtr, then recovered the fumble on the ensuing kickoff and scored again, the momentum turned and they were off. Another back breaker was the punt return for a touchdown right before the half ended, allowaing them to go up 21-7. Mayfield was reeling at that point, then the Falcons scored on there opening drive, forced another turnover early in the 3rd and scored again and it was pretty much over at that point. Ft Campbell is a very deep and talented team and can do it through the air or on the ground and like snake said, they'll be an awefully tough team to beat in 2a. Mayfield will get better. They have some solid skill kids and showed the ability to move the ball through the air and on the ground, but, they aren't very deep and need to stay healthy to be a 1a factor. Both teams need to cut way back on the stupid penalties, but, that's to be expected, somewhat, early in the year...

I sure hope CC is overrated...I'd hate to think this is Kys #2 ranked 5a team...
