I guess we may find out if any Kentucky team can come within 28 points of Trinity? Didn't you ask that question several weeks ago?
-
Arguably Manual is the 'best" or "top" (or whatever term which you wish to use) of the Non-All Male Catholic Boys Schools. So this should be a true test. NO question but that M has enjoyed a terrific season to date. Will they be able to extend that one more week? NO says I. They unquestionably have some atheletes - but I daresay the first 5 opponents of the Rocks were no slouches.
So let us settle it on the field.
Didn't you mean first six opponents?
-
I just saw video of Manual PA announcer. David Holton is blind and is a District Court Judge. Quite amazing.
-
It is my guess that Quick and Hatcher will go to a school in the SEC, Big Ten,, Pac 12 or Big 12. IF UL joins the Big 12 then UL will have shot at the players.Or....they realize just how much they could make a difference. I'm a glass half full kinda person. I'm saying...we have a chance. -
But not probable. St X is better than Manual.Does the loser of this game finish last in the district? Very possible. -
14-6 at halftime Trinity lead versus X, just to remind you. Should have been 17-14 X at half, Lemondray Clemons crossed plane on 1 yrd line and they called it fumble and brad Shickel missed extra point and field goal.
St X played aggressive football in the first half. So did Indy Cathedral (tied 14-14 at half). Trinity's speed and huge linemen have seemed to make difference in second half. So the final score should have been about 41-17. Manual is not better than St X.

The game will be at Trinity. I am not sure if Manual is better on the field than St X, St X had lost to only one Kentucky team, Bowling Green. Massey Ratings had St X and Manual almost even. I think Trinity wins by 28 points.
-
Massey predicted the score to be 40-12. Their ratings seem to be realistic. I was very impressed with the intensity given by the X players. Trinity is very overwhelming in the second half, as shown in Cincy St X and Cathedral games.
-
Speed kills. I told my brother who gave odds on the game that Trinity really performs in the second half. Many teams have stayed with Trinity in the first half but Trinity'speed kills other teams in the second half.
-
Quick threw a touchdown pass.
-
Wazoo is not coming to Hawaii. St X is really playing at their potentail but I expected that.
-
I apologize if this has already been said...but is the game being shown online anywhere? I know it's radio broadcast is.
I think wazoo.com will show game online. On audio Trinity website will have game.
-
Trinity will try to keep Massey ratings. Massey has Trinity winning 40-12. Therefore, if Trinity gets chance to blow out St X it will.
-
-
What will be Trinity's starting lineup. I know one player is Hicks and then Foster.
-
He committed to Butler as a 3 star PG.
-
The sandbox is OPEN for business! It's going to be interesting watching all you kids play it in this week!:lol::lol::lol:
Now back to the game...
What is the overall series of this game. I think X leads it but not by much?
X leads 36-33-2.
-
I'll start the ball rolling. Will Trinity have a letdown next week? Trinity has played five tough opponents and they may come out very flat. I think that it will be 28-14 Trinity.
-
I get the transmission much slower in Hawaii. I have to quit reading your posts
-
I think there were only 2 calls against X. I believe they were delay of game calls. One call was ridiculoous. After an X player was tackled or maybe hit ground he then began to run toward goal. A Trinity player tackled him after the whistle had allegedly blown. However the game was officiated very well and the referees did not influence outcome of game.
-
Maybe Northern Kentucky fans might enjoy it that a Kentucky team is beating the Cincinnati teams but fans from most Jefferson County schools wish Trinity could move its buildings from St Matthews to Indiana or Ohio, The JCPS will not even play Trinity much less root for them.
-
Indy Cathedral will not ba trap game. The Trinity staff thought that St X, Cathedral and Moeller would be the toughest tthree opponents. The players got a tough test tonite and I think they will be practice very hard. It might have been a trap game in another year when it came before the St X game. But not this year. The players want to be in the National Top 5 and know that any loss takes them out of that bracket.
-
I watched the game on the internet. St X was MUCH better than Elder. But Trinity had no fumbles and controlled the flow of the game.
-
T is looking great thus far, but, let's put it in perspective. Brentwood, MBA and Elder are all a shell of there normal powerhouse teams. All are in a down year and none of the 3 are considered state title type teams as they've been in the past. You can argue that, but, it's fact.
Playing at Brentwood, then MBA and then at the Pit is more difficult than playing any teams from Kentucky except Highlands, Bowling Green and maybe Louisville St X. Handing Brentwood and Elder their worse loss at home in the history of the schools and handing MBA its second biggest loss in its history is noteworthy.
I think that Trinity's performance against St X will tell us the answer to the question.

I like what the Manual coach said. I think he made this statement to give the team more confidence. They need to have confidence that they can make the big plays. I wonder where Manual would rank among the five out of state teams that Trinity has played.
