  1. Went to bonus opening day, great time. It was the first time ever opening before thanksgiving. Our high school has a ski club that goes 6 fridays in a row after christmas break. Ski clubs seem to be the big thing, there are numerous schools there on fridays.

  2. I will agree with WILDCATFAN. Pendleton may have lost a big body, but that is all they lost. Senior leadership has improved greatly this year, something they have lacked in the past. Look for PC's linebacking core and seniors to step up big in this game. I would look for at least one score to come from a punt or kick return with a solid wedge and Stegman and Eshman returning. If the O-line can be effective at all Pendleton will hang around and end up winning this one 21-14.

Totally disagree with the lack of senior leadership in the past. How about moving forward instead of bad mouthing the past!

  3. A good way to get your kid seen is to send him to the summer camps held by the colleges. The earlier the better...and if an underclassman, return to the camp the next year. The coaches get familiar with the player and vice versa!! Lots of kids get "offered" out of camps! You should also go online and fill out the prospect questionaires that ALL the colleges have on their site.

I agree send them to camps. There are a lot of guest coaches at camps, that is how my son was noticed and now plays at the next level.

  4. Coach Clark is a good coach but he doesn't have enough experience. I have heard that they are going to hire Don Landholm, which is a great hire if this is true. Coach Landholm is currently the defensive coordinator for the Colonels. He has it all, dedication, loyalty, football smarts, respect from the kids, I could go on. I wish him the best on whatever comes of this.

    Good pick also.
