I believe Smith is the front runner after last night. I talked to a couple of players and they said in the last few days Smith has stepped up. A couple of injury notes,o-lineman Byrd was hurt in practice tuesday and has posssible mcl injury to knee. I hope he has a quick return.

Some interesting news for the start of the season this year,I believe Georgetown has to sit out a few players the first game due to being ejected from the last game of season last year.I think VanSant is one and Valdez is another,not sure if there is anymore.

I think you will see equal reps. between Ammons and Smyth at the QB spot, tonight at the orange/black game.

Alex Mathews recieved a concussion during the Lambuth game,after seeing the dr. many times it was determined that he end his football career. As for the QB situation all I know is that Ammons has been practicing at QB. Dustin May is no longer with the team.

Ammons will get the job.They are practicing alot on the option should be interesting.They moved Doss to the backfield.

I do see Ammons getting the QB position. I know he has put in a lot of extra work. I also believe Van Sant will start this year.

Im going with Van Isaac, if Ammons does not get it.

They have plenty experience returning,so i hope its a good year.First game of season they travel to Fla. to play Webber Int.

Can anyone confirm the Buttermilk Pike opening and where and what would it be located next too, haven't been in that area for awhile? Thanks.

On their menu it has opening soon Florence,Ky. but no date.

I will have to second(third,fourth) Quaker Steak and Lube. Louisiana Lickers are the best. I have heard they are opening a second location on Buttermilk Pike. Well worth the drive to Milford though and they also have a pick up window which comes in very handy.

 

Did someone say they have an all you can eat night there though? I can do some damage to some wings.

All day Tuesday. From 11am till closing. The price was affordable,cost like $12.50 per person.

Went to Quaker Steak and Lube in Milford, Ohio for all u can eat wings on Tuesday. The best i ever had, and I have tried about every wing joint out there, lol.

What a great,great season for Pendleton County. What is there secret on such a turnaround with only dressing 27 players? Are there players multi sport athletes(baseball,basketball), is it just the coaching and style? Do the parents stay out of things? Just trying to get a handle on this, because you have schools like Bracken County,similar in size, that haven't won a game in 4 years. Could all PC fans please chime in as to what PC's secret is, thank you.

They do have athletes.I believe the turnaround is a complete attitude change of some upperclassmen.They stepped up and became leaders. Congrats to the cats!

27 freshmen through seniors. Some kids were home sick tonight with the swine.

I remember 2 yrs. ago my son was playing in a downpour,and when the ref. put the ball down it started floating away. The water was ankle deep.

By the way, a tough loss on Saturday; one step forward and one step back.

Me to. Even though Mike had a tough day saturday,he still is the best choice at this time.

Coach Cronin did say on tiger talk that Lewis came to him and said he didnt feel comfortable throwing the ball. Turned out to be a good choice because they ran the ball well.Whoever is Qb, it dont really matter to me.I just want the tigers to win.

Why such the dislike for Lewis? Georgetown did what they had to do to win, have a great night running the ball and controlling the clock. Most important A big "W".

I agree. Second and third stringers work hard for that one chance to get on the field.They should play as hard as they can,giving 100% at all times.
