Having talent certainly helps, but being a successful Coach takes more than talent. I've watched Holmes for many years and they had talent in the past, but weren't always diciplined. The key with Henley's Teams has been the dicipline imho. I've said before, I have never seen a Holmes Team until recently, so diciplined and patient in their half court offense.

Was there and watch the replay once. You are correct, nothing at all to whine about.

I would of known what you meant, and understood. I think most of us alums realize what he's been able to do with these kids, not only on the court, but in other aspects of life. There were some not so good things that happend a few years back, and from what I've been told, that was the turning point. These kids respect him and they prove it by doing whats asked of them. Some may say, that's what their suposed to do, but like you said earlier, most don't realize the culture change. Holmes has had some pretty good Coaches in the past, Reynolds Flynn, and Mike Fylnn come to mind. But in all the years I've been watching Holmes, I've never seen Teams as diciplined as Coach Henley's. Hope he plans on being a Bulldog for years to come.

You may be right, but Franklin Co. has a nice Team as well. They are now 7-0 with wins against the likes of Mason Co. and Butler. I believe their headed to New York to play in a tournament there next.

Lloyd Memorial Invitational
I believe this tournament starts on Friday the 26th, with Holy Cross playing Walton Verona at 9:30 PM. According to the KHSAA schedule this is the only game scheduled that night. Was wondering why such a late start time for just one game? On Saturday there's a whole slew of games beginning at 9:30 am. Silver Grove vs. Lloyd 9:30 AM Bourbon Co. vs. Connor 11:15 AM Oldham Co. vs. Villa Madonna 1:00 PM Cov. Holmes vs. Seneca 2:45 PM Newport vs. Bullitt East 4:30 PM Grant Co. vs. Muhlenberg South 6:15 PM Deming vs. Henderson Co. 8:00 PM Holy Cross vs. TBA 9:45 PM

Pittman also had 12 rebounds. Along with Pittman, Jeremiah Johnson and Jamel Riley made the all tourny Team. Ricardo Johnson added 14 points and six rebounds in tonight's victory.
