Yes! you are right. He was left in the game too long. What was the deal with that? Was that a Tommy Greer-Whitley County thing or what? From what I have heard Spencer didn't even come through the handshake after the game. I see this as poor sportsmanship. What do you all think?:confused:

I think this score is correct, But I do stand to be corrected. I do know the Colonels Scored 8 runs in the ninth to break a seven inning tie..:ylsuper:

:confused: I think I have it figured out... Poor pitching and little league defense is killing the colonels this year. Making anywhere from 5 to 15 errors per game is not good.. A pitcher can only do so much as far as putting the ball across the plate for strikes. If the other team is a good hitting team then you are going to need a solid defense...Whitley lacks in this area...What do you all think?

Whitley County has returned 6 or 7 seniors this year...Shouldn't they be playing and competing much better than their record is showing? :sleep:

Should this not make for a tougher game because of the pitching? Shouldn't both teams because of the rest period be able to bring their ace? How do u see the outcome of these games? Remember in the first game in the 4th it was SL 2 Whitley Co. 1.

You are right Jim...But, as of Tuesday we were told the games would go on Wed. now that the games go on Thursday each pitcher should be able to go...Am I right?

Whitley And South Laurel tried to play their district games last night and got rained out in the 4th inning...How will they continue these games and will they start where they left off? Meaning they are going to make up the games today will they start with the same pitchers or will they have to change ?:sssh:

You could be right...However this one could be based on which team plays best in the mud..Looking like a wet one. Whitley hasn't been playing as well as they should be. Whitley is a good team but, so is South Laurel...If Whitley plays there best defensive game Whitley should come out on top. :ylsuper:

I'm sure the pitching depth hurt them but, they also had multiple errors in the field and the Colonels played a tough defense and were hot at bat....

Tonight the Whitley Colonels played a double header against across town rivals the Williamsburg Yellow Jacket in their first district games. Whitley Came away with both wins making them 2 for 2 in district play.:thumb:

From what I hear they haven't got a whole lot of depth.

The Williamsburg Yellow Jackets meet the Whitley County Colonels tonight @ Colonels field. These two across town rival teams will meet in a district game double header....This one should be a good one.:fight:
