Whitley VS S. Laurel tonight in district play. Any comments on who will win?

Featured Replies

I expect them to split. Two good teams though. However, pitching could play a role. I know SL threw a good pitcher last night and Whitley has had 3 games in the past 3 days, two of which were against Lafayette and Madison Central so we will see who they have left to go.

You could be right...However this one could be based on which team plays best in the mud..Looking like a wet one. Whitley hasn't been playing as well as they should be. Whitley is a good team but, so is South Laurel...If Whitley plays there best defensive game Whitley should come out on top. :ylsuper:

Mud?? Where is this game being played?? If it is a Whitley, I wouldn't worry it being too sloppy. I think they are making a strong push for best field in the region right with Corbin. If it is at SL, then you may be right because I have never seen their field.

Is this district seeded?

Yes.

Well, then that makes this an important game.

At SL. We had a gully-washer this afternoon, but I was told the field was in good shape at around 4 p.m. But, we had more rain hit at around 5:15, and it was a light rain for about 45 minutes. Sun's just now back out, so I'm going to head over there now.

Major cloudburst came in the fourth of the first game with SL up 3-1 (I think). If they did get back out on the field tonight, it would've been a mess. Needless to say, I didn't stick around to find out. :D
