  1. I'm picking PRP to win it. They are healthy and playing well. Have the best coaching staff in the region. They will be prepared each night. Fern Creek should win it, but when things don't go their way it shows with how the players respond. Saw that last night. Valley is the same. They had 4 T's on players in the district final against PRP. Doss has the talent and the coach has control of the team. Wouldn't surprise me to see them back for a third time. They just don't seem to play hard each night. Should be a great semi final night at Valley.

  2. It was an out of state official that tossed him right? They dont care that districts are this week. This is one of those cases where officials have total control and can do what they wont, with no repercussions. Is the KHSAA going to get with the IHSAA and make sure it was a valid ejection, no. This is solely on the coach, dont schedule out of state games the last weeks of the season and put yourself in that position, you cant win.

They won by 20. The officiating couldn't be that bad to get tossed. This is strictly on the coach not Indiana basketball officiating. You get one T that's your warning. You get tossed that is on you. No excuses.

  3. Good to see that Tony Williams continues to blame all losses on referees on twitter. The man has yet to legitimately lose a game at Doss since he took over.

Should blame himself for the loss. They were up 5 late in this game around a minute to play and had a three on one run out and he called a timeout. Fairdale also runs a lot of high post sets that he ran when he played at UofL and Doss couldn't stop. Fairdale scored on the UCLA cut and step in three times in a row down the stretch. Good week for Fairdale. Lost the night before in double OT at Bullitt East which they should have won. Ike Roby who transferred from Beth Haven is starting to understand the system and has been as good as any one in the region over the last eight games averaging 19.7 and 9.7 rebounds

  4. This game exposed Louisville physically much like Virginia does. Mahmoud was ineffective because he didn't match up. He got shoved around. Hicks played good but hasn't had enough time at a big school and what it takes to win at the ACC level. Every time we needed a big shot he forced something or we got a bad shot from someone else. Everyone keeps wanting VJ king to play more but he gets beat defensively constantly. Haven't always been a big Levitch fan but he was our best player on offense. Surprised he wasn't in at the end. Spaulding taking off on the break with the ball up one and turning it over was crucial. Cards have to execute down the stretch on the road in ACC or they will lose again.

  5. Can someone give some insight on PRP....Particularly Trey Hill. I haven't heard much about him so far....great talent just wondering why the team's not doing so well

I saw him only play in LIT vs Bullitt East and came away very unimpressed. Don't like to be negative about kids on here, But I keep hearing he has all these D-1 visits and offers and I just don't see it. Maybe it was an off game. He is athletic but from what I saw wasn't much of a threat. Bullitt East basically backed off of him and let him shoot from the outside. When you talk of the top players in the 6th his name is not coming up as it did in past.

  6. All of this. Plus, the sole concession stand is inadequate.

I've been their multiple times and they have all that in the concession stands. Last year they sold small items cokes in the upper part that helped some. There has been more parking added in the back. I also disagree about it not being a shooters gym. This gym is lit very well. A lot of gyms in Jefferson Co. are dark. Cant argue the distance because its not centrally located but its right off the Snyder freeway so its pretty easy to get to. JCPS has listened to most complaints and has tried to address them each year. Should be a great tournament as always.

  7. They could use the common sense ratings.

They could also do a media poll and let them seed the tournament.

All of those will create the same arguments. Has all the media seen all the Louisville schools play? If not then You would have Jason Frakes basically picking the team. I think Trinity is #1 but can argue Fern Creek. They are 1-1 in head to head. Both games were close and went down to the end. Now that coaches know how the rankings are done, you could argue that they could base their schedules on it.

  8. Also Trinity did not get much from winning vs out of state teams. Last year teams got no points for playing out of state teams. They changed it this year to where I believe you got an equivalent of a win over a "C" level team. The argument is there is no real way to rate out of state teams. Fern Creek probably got more points for their three wins in the KOB vs "A" level teams than Trinity did. Like was mentioned before, ADs are given weekly SETH rankings that show the movement based on wins and losses. There is no real way to do this unless you get a selection committee and you will still have the same arguments. Past LIT using the lit ratings had the same arguments. At least with the SETH ranking the teams know where they stand when the season starts.

  9. Basically Coach Williams had his team ready tonight and Wheat did not. Valley played with little effort and their coach pointed that out. Valley has not played since Dec. 22 so that plays into it. However, given the fact that the two coaches were teammates at UofL and it was a big 6th region game at home Valley should have been fired up. They played little to no defense and Doss controlled the game from the start. Valley has the talent to beat anyone just not sure they will be consistent. Basically a very lazy effort on the Vikings in this game.
