Will be ruled ineligible if the family has not moved and he has played in games. Same reason Devon Cooper was ruled ineligible.

I heard rumors that they were waiting on one coach in Louisville to make a decision.
Coaches have been waiting on the Ballard job to open. I personally don't think it will.
-
Was Centrals OC last year under Ty Scroggins
-
Congrats coach!
-
He still wants to coach his son. Multi-sport athlete that is really good at baseball. Central doesnt have much of a baseball program
-
It would be nice to see former central coach and Fairdale graduate Ty Scroggins come home and take over the program. Might be a stretch but at least offer it to him.
-
Congrats to Coach Wright. He is a class guy and will do a great job there.
-
Should be making an announcement today.
-
Not sure that's completely true. KC Goodin had the program on the upswing before leaving to go back to coaching in college. Doss was 22-8 and lost to eventual 6th region champ PRP in the semi finals 64-63. He came into a program with talent.

I feel horrible for Jamil. Yeesh.
Tough game for him. He didn't even act like he wanted to go back in the game. When #5 fouled out Wilson came back in and passed the ball as quickly as he caught it. Did not want the ball late. Would have never thought that.

Fern Creek needed to speed this game up. Waited too late to press and trap. Cannot believe they tried to beat Cooper in a half court game. They let Cooper turn it over and over until they got the shot they wanted. Fern Creek should have made this a 90ft game from the start.

There is a lot of chatter that the Girls Sweet 16 will return to BB&T next year and then move to Rupp Arena in 2019 and be played the same week as the boys tournament in something like a Monday through Sunday setup which may mirror how the All A Tournament is run.
St. Elizabeth has been a terrific partner for the KHSAA and they really like the support they have given the girls Sweet 16 at BB&T.
Heard this same rumor. Jason Frakes says it will move to Lexington. Maybe not the same time
-
There are obviously cheaper options if that's the route you want. I like the convenience of the Hyatt. I don't have to drive anywhere once I get there and parking is free. I don't have to pay at Rupp or search for parking. I bring lots of food, snacks, and drinks for my room. If I want something different I am within walking distance of other restaurants. I enjoy the atmosphere of the Hyatt lobby/bar. Even better If I don't want to stay for the second game or I want to leave before the game is over, its a 5 minute walk to my room. You can certainly beat the price of the Hyatt but not the convenience. No matter where you stay I cant wait until Wednesday. My pick is Cooper.
-
For the state tournament the Hyatt or the Hilton is the only place to stay. Preferably the Hyatt if you can get a room. Once you are checked in you really never have to leave. You may pay more but you don't have to taxi, uber, or drive and park. This alone will make up the price difference

Pretty simple. Not a Member of the KABC. You cant win any KABC awards if your not a member. Its like $100 for ten coaches boys and girls to join. Its $20 for individual coaches to join. The KABC has done a lot to protect the interest of High school basketball. No excuse not to be a member. If hes on the list I apologize he is deserving.

Thought PRP needed to go to their press a little earlier. They were content to slow the tempo. They have been shooting well lately. Tonight they didnt
-
A coach last night wearing slides. They have a good nucleus returning. Curt Lewis will be one of top players in Louisville. Professionalism needs to be instilled in the program
-
You dont seed regionals they draw. Valley/Southern was at the top of the bracket. Clearly stated that the top team in the bracket is the home team. My guess they didnt read the info. As for Wheat, he has done some good on the floor coaching. They ran a nice system. Problem is there is more to running a program. He has to take complete charge of this
program. After the game, Valley players in the gym with uniforms on. Tells me no one took them up after the last game. Valley will be chasing uniforms all spring
-
It did make a difference. I believe FC jumped out to a 14-0 lead after starting the game with a T. Valley is the host school. Playing in your home gym and you don't have some older uniforms around. I'm certainly not in favor of letting teenagers in charge of their uniforms to begin with. Its what happens when your coach usually shows up 15 minutes before games. The players had to leave and go home to get them. Valley has as much talent as anyone in the region. Just don't run the program right.

Gerald played collegiately at Austin Peay and then multiple years for the Harlem Globetrotters. He is a very good official, and his son is an outstanding player at PRP.
Iroquois was 6th region runner-up three years in a row when he played there 80,81,82 I believe

It seems like more schools are selling out that way. Seems like there's AAU "ties" to a lot of teams.
Yes initial success but not always sustained. Those kids expect instant gratification and success. When it doesn't happen they blame the coach and transfer. Coach Schooler has done a good job holding his together despite losing Trey Hill who came in with the Spiece Gators. Did pick up Chance Hill to replace. Waggener was the 7th region favorite last year before Cooper left for Prep school.
-
Waggener sold out to aau three years ago. Good to see the veteran coaches that run programs the right way win. Waggener has been a revolving door with transfers.
