  1. I don't know the man personally, but sounds like the kind of coach you would want your kids to play for.

I know him, and yes he is the kind of coach that you want for your kids. I will be the first to admit that at first I did not know what to think of Robin. Over the past few years I have learned more and more what he means to A- Town. People may not agree with every decision Robin makes but there is a reason you can be sure of it. I am honored to have him coaching my sons.

  2. I know that Augusta hit 3 threes and Workman hit 6. I know there were a few others. It was annouced that one of Bracken coaches was donating $10 for every 3 pt basket made in the game to the shoot for a cure fundraiser.

I got my numbers mixed up fron the JV Game Augusta only had one three in the game. According to todays paper Workman had 5 for Bracken and Jefferson 2

  3. Augusta also won the JV game tonight 46-34

    Ryan Kelsch led Augusta with 14 pts, J. Gray 12, T. Krebs 10, C. Fraysure 6, J. Kelsch 3. H. Kiskaden 1

Jo Jo Gray also steped up late in the varsity game and made some good breaks on passes and tipping them away. I think he had a big part in the outcome of the game that did not show on the scoreboard. Way to hussle Jo Jo.

  4. Augusta comes back from 10 points down to win by 10.

Augusta was led in scoring by Shooty Staggs with 21 points 14 rebounds and 5 steals.

Chris Mofford added 16 points 10 rebounds and 5 blocked shots

    B. Hamilton 8, S. White 7, D. Fryman 4, J.Gray 3

Devin Workman had a big shooting night for Bracken Co. hitting 6 three's

    Bracken 14 20 11 4

    Augusta 11 13 23 12

  5. Another year, yet the same ole story for the BC girls basketball program. Does anyone know the off season conditioning program or even the season conditioning program at BC? These girls right know might be softball conditioned, but definetly not basketball. I said before this game that they were below St.Pat and Augusta in the region and will stick to that until the coaching staff adjusts to the strenghths and weaknesses of these girls which are obvious.

I have not seen these girls play yet this year. but I did hear that they had help this year in their conditioning program. Brought in local martial arts instructor in. From what I was told he work them hard. These girls will pull it together. They have tallent yes, but LBBC made some good points.

  6. Congrats to St. Pat, they have a quaility team. The 14 point lead was a big hurdle for the Panthers to try to leap. Some are saying it was a blow out.

I for one thought Augusta played hard. The Saints hit on all cylinders tonight.

The Saints did a good job of limiting Mofford's scoring chances, he did not get alot of the offensive rebounds as he usallly does

As far as Augusta scoring goes this is the way I had it along with our book keeper.

Brayde Hamilton 19 pts 10 rbs, Ryan Kelsch 13 pts, Shooty Staggs 12 pts 10 Rbs, Ty Krebs 5, Shawn White, Joey Crouch and Chris Mofford 2

  7. New question ?

School A is a small private school k-8, and has no sports programs. The students play their sports at School B. They play at School B till they are in the 8th grade and not allowed to play on School B’s High school teams. School C has taken a player from School A and has them on their teams High School roster while still enrolled at School A as an 8th Grader. Is this allowed?

  8. Chris Mofford led Augusta with 23 points 10 rbs.

Shooty Staggs added 17 points 10 rbs befor going out the game miday in the 3rd Quarter with an ankle injury.

    Brayde Hamilton added 13 pts

Ryan Kelsch 8, Ty Krebs 4, Shawn White 3, Jo Jo Gray 2

I spoke with Shooty's dad after the game and he is not sure about his ankle and if he will be ready for thursday game at St. Pat. We sure hope he will be ready.

  9. Surprise, surprise, that augusta is not as good as there fans act like they are!!!

Its not just our fans that think they are good, The tallent is there, just lacking a bit of confidence. Quagmire is correct in what he said. Our guards are not producing many points right now. We also did not get much help from the bench friday night. The points we did get from the bench were late in the game. They will come around.

  10. Final per Riherd's. Any details? Is Fleming improved from last year?

Augusta had their chances in this game but just could not get a lot of their shots to drop. They showed that they are young. They have work to do but I think they will be fine and over the next couple of games will stat building some much needed confidence.

As far as Fleming goes I think they have improved from last year. How much? I am not sure.
