I really like John Chamberlin in the 10th. I spoke with him last night. Many know him and know he is out this year do to medical reasons. Best wishes John and get well soon.

They Lady Panthers have had some growing pains this year. Congrats ladies. Keep working hard and more wins will come. You have a really good coaching staff and will teach you alot. Just keep an open mind and listen.

Just wanted to add a wish for Coach Douglas's daughter Chelsie ( hope that spelling is correct ). She was hurt late in the game somewhere in the area of the knee. Her mom was thinking it is muscular as opposed to liagament and was gonna wait untill today to evaluate it more. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from the Big Daddy family !
I will second that . Hope she is ok. This girl can play. Just an 8th grader. She will be fun to watch the next few years.

Is the small private school a feeder to the private school "c"? For instance students that go to St. Mary's in Paris can play for Lexington Catholic Middle School (because that is one of their feeder teams) or that student because of an agreement between the two schools can play at Paris Middle School. So if the student from St. Mary's was good enought, yes IMO he could play at Lexington Catholic while still in 8th grade at St. Mary's in Paris....is that clear as mud?
School C has feed most of their students into school B in the past. They had to wait until they were in the 9th grade to play highschool sports. Some students had left eariler to go to other schools in the area so they could play as 8th graders. I just cant see how someone can play for a school that they do not attend.

It was good too see some fellow BGP'rs out to Brooksville tonight. Saw a couple from A-town.

Congrats to the Lady Saints. Disappointing loss for the Lady Bears. Seemed to get away from some of the things that had brought success the last couple of games. Also, the big turnover monkey reared it's ugly head again. Don't know the final number of turnovers but am guessing it was a big number. Another double digit point night for #00 H.Haight. I don't know how this very thin girl works inside where the bulk works but evidently no one has told her she can't. And she has made a beleiver out of me.
It was hard for me to belive she scored that much, 16 for the game. She is a hard working player.
Was the first time I could make it up the hill and catch a game. Keep working hard girls. You still have alot of basketball to play.

I asked this question in a previous tread but did not get many responses
School A is a small private school k-8, and has no sports programs. The students play their sports at School B. They play at School B through their 8th grade year but are not permitted to play on School B’s High school teams.
School C is a Private School in another County but same District and now has a player from School A an 8th Grader on their teams High School roster while still enrolled at School A . Is this allowed?
I have heard different takes on this and was wondering what everyone else thinks.

Wow. I see a week of discussion on why Deming loss this one.
Hope the Devils can get it together soon.

Chris Mofford led in scoring with 18 Pts and 11 rbs 5 blk shots
Dustin Staggs another good game 17 pts and 11 rbs
Bradye Hamilton 11 pts
S.White 7, D. Fryman 4, J. Crouch 3, Ryan Kelsch 2
Just wanted to say alittle about Joey Crouch, this kid goes 110% whenever he is on the floor. He hits a big three tonight when momentum was switching back and fourth. Kid in a unsung hero on this team and does not get much recognition for all his hard work.
Jv Game Augusta drops this one in OT 68-60
Joseph Gray 18, Colton Fraysure 15, Ty Krebs 11, Ryan Kelsch 11
J Kelsch 2,S Gibbs 2, H Kiskaden 1
Was good to see Ty Krebs back out on the floor after missing the last two games. Just was not ready to go the whole night.

Final.
Chris Mofford 17 pts 10 rbs
Dustin Staggs 12 Pts 11 rbs
Ryan Kelsch 10 pts
B. Hamilton 8, S. White 5
Tough loss for the Panthers, Hope they will be ready for tommorrow nights game.
In this game I dont think Mofford or Staggs touched the ball near enough on the offensive end. The shot selection was not the best either.
They only shot 33% from the feild.
The Panthers did not do a very good job of boxing out either. This is a game they should have won but just got out hussled at times.
The Panthers did win both the Jv game and Freshmen game tonight. Sorry no stats. Jv game was a good come from behind win.

I predict I will be there.... And the Lady Bears win by 8

There are a few out there that does not see it, that they have a soild base of a team to build on. They start all 10th graders. Their point Guard is as fast as anyone out there. I really like the Newsom kid also. He plays with alot of grit. He seems to really enjoy the Game. Good luck to the Panthers unless you are Playing my Panthers.

Royal, Schalch started at the beginning of the year and just wasn't cutting it. Honestly I think he plays better coming off the bench. Some players are just better that way. Tonight was one of the best games from Schalch but his play hasn't been that consistent. I do agree he's a nice little player:thumb:
I would agree also, He had some really good games at the Bracken Tourny, But have not seen him enough to say he is consistent or not. He is a scrapper and goes all out.

Wow, I know Paris has a good team but would never thought they would play this close to MC

Where is the 10th All A being played this year?
Deming

Augusta was led by Chris Mofford with 22 points and 13 rebounds
Dustin "Shooty" Staggs added 20 of his own and 11 rebounds
Ryan Kelsch who started this game added 18 points
Jo Jo Gray came off the bench for 12 of his own, another good game for Mr.Gray who has really started to turn up his game
S. White had 7 and B. Hamilton 5
Jv game was a 46-57 loss for the panthers
Colton Fraysure led the panthers with 21 points
J. Gray 7, J. Kelsch 6, S. Gibbs 5, R.Kelsch 3, J.Poe and H.Kiskaden 2
Colton is really showing some promise as a Freshmen. Look to see him have some big games in the future.

I really think Coach Arnold at Augusta is going to be a Great Coach, Don't let the win/loss record fool you. The team just does not know basketball, but they are improving. I hope she can stick with it through the hard times and teach the younger players more basics.

Augusta....It is one of the few bandbox gyms left. Who has the oldest gym?
Worst would have to be Heritage.
No doubt, my favorite is Augusta , then the Feildhouse for the bigger games.
Worst, Silver Grove (no lighting), Herritage, and St. Pats

This is a situation that happened in a recent game. Would like to know if the refs missed this one.
Team A is called for a shooting foul. Team A’s coach argues the call and gets a Technical.
Team B shoots the fouls shots. Team A’s coach call’s a time out and is granted the time out prior to Team B shooting the Technical foul shots.
Team B’s Coach argues that Team A can not be granted the timeout until after the technical foul shots.
Team B’s Coach get’s his own Technical now.
Was Team B’s Coach correct.

I for one have three children that play at different levels. I run the clock for our home games when needed. I stick with it and keep my commitment. Reguardless of if my kids play our not.
