The Paris Stars have a team in Paris, Kentucky. This team is 12-under. Let me know if you want to get in touch with the coach.

Congratulations to Desarae! She is a very nice person and hard worker. Other kids that want to play on the college level should look at the example she has set. When you put your mind to something and work hard to achieve that goal, then good things happen. Again, congratulations from the coaching staff of the Paris Ladyhounds!

I would like to take this opportunity to "Thank" all of the coaches, players, and fans for a great day of basketball. I didn't get a chance to see a lot of the games at the elementary gym, but my coaches over there assured me that there were some competitive games over there. Having an opportunity to scrimmage before the season begins is great because it allows us an opportunity to really evaluate and access our teams, and correct things before the season begins and games actually count. No matter if your team won or loss the scrimmage game, we all have things that we would like to see our teams do better. Again, I would like to thank everyone for making yesterday a success, and we look forward to seeing you throughout the season, and I hope that will come back again next year. Good Luck to you all. :thumb:

Beth Wilkerson of Paris was Miss Kentucky Basketball. She turned down a scholarship to the University of Tennessee with coach Pat Summit, to attend Old Dominion University(which at that time was a better program than Tennessee). I don't want to take anything away from these ladies that have been mentioned, or their accomplishments, but if the question is "Who is the Best Player of the 10th Region," I think Beth Wilkerson is that person.....hands down! :thumb:
