Felicidades los rojos diablos! (Congradulations Red Devils!)

We're returning all but 1 offensive and defensive linemen. Chase Jones should be the next season's quarterback and I believe Lundy will be in the backfield. Will Pope, a huge threat at receiver will be entering his senior season, and Casey Belcher should have a good season running the ball. Any thoughts or comments?
-
How many starters are they returning? I expect Anderson to have an explosive year. Also, how many Div. 1 athletes are they graduating this season?
-
Trinity, NCC, and Russell. I think Beechwood will make an appearance next year however.
-
We won't be too shabby either. But I do expect for the Admirals to have a better play-off run than they did this year.
-
 This was the first year in a long time that I can remember neither Danville or Beechwood competing for the Class A state title. How long has it been since this ocurred?

I take issue with his statements. In fact, the only way that small town or Class A players ever get noticed is 1) going deep into the playoffs or state championship or 2) "cheerleading," as he calls it, by his local media. Year in and year out, small school players are not considered for end of the season awards and college scholarships because their exposure is insufficient, but based upon their performance, they may very well be one of the top players in the state. Large city newspapers are equally as guilty of heralding their big school locals.
We all know that reporters generally don't know squat about football anyway, so none of this should come as a big surprise.
I couldn't agree with you more. We had Jake Anderson on our squad last season and he was an amazing athlete, it was really great to see him get to play in the KY/TN all-star game.

Sorry for the confusion on the last thread. Now, what makes these private school teams like Trinity and X so good?
-
Us beating Cumberland 48-28. It was the first time in 4 years that we had beaten them.
-
What makes all these northern teams such as Trinity, Male, St.X, and Henry Clay so good?
-
How long has it been since neither Danville or Beechwood played in the class A state finals?
-
Wow! Thought it would be closer than that. Good win rocks! Good luck againts X. Trinity's field looks very nice to.
-
I pick the jumpers to win here and go on to Louisville to face Danville!

Teddy Thompson-Harlan
-
I'd have to say Micha Johnson, Justin Burke, or Teddy Thompson!
-
Justin Burke hands down.

As far as grass fields Putnam Stadium hands down. As far as turf field, LETCHER CENTRAL, HANDS DOWN! (Have to include the $165,000.00 instant replay scoreboard. There are only 2 others in the state of Kentucky. The other 2 are UK and UL. They hav ea 2 million dollar field to go with it. The same turf that Auburn uses!
I'll agree with you, any high school team that has one of those should make a ranking in the nation for nicest fields!
-
That wasn't Mitchell with the hit in the KY-TN All-Star game, but it was a Highlands player.
My mistake, but GOD! It was one of those that make you say I'm happy it happened to that guy instead of me.
-
When I watched the KY-TN All-Star game this year, I saw Michael Mitchell knock the "you know what" out of Tennessee's QB. It looked awful! Then this season against Pendleton Co, my friend Josh Goodin was running down the field to tackle a guy when we punted it and he flatened the first blocker, then kept going and killed the returner. Those two would be my pick.
