Hopefully I'll be mailing you a game ball on Saturday.

We were watching film on Breathitt Co, and who is #28? Heared he was a freshman, and I was very impressed with his performance.
-
This is going to be bad. Unless all of Middlesboro's starters are hurt (BIG KNOCK ON WOOD!!), I just don't see Cawood coming even close in this one.
M'boro:54 JACHS:0

This should be an interesting game. I could see it going either way. I'll just give the game to Somerset though because of the Deaton/Cole combination.

Aren't the first three mentioned on the offense line? Thats a huge hurt for the cats, inthat Roskopf needs those "men" to run behind. I actually don't think this game will be as big of a blow-out as most people are expecting. I'll say LC:35 P:14

What is everybodies predictions for this upcoming game?
Harlan is riding high on a 4 game winning streak, but is Breathitt Co too powerful this year for a stingy Harlan defense?
-
Sounds like a game for the ages! Was it a close game all the way through or just a blow-out by St.X and then Highlands scores when the subs come in? I wish I could watch the birds play just one time, which is why I hope Bell Co. wins region so the birds come near us to play:). Anywho, good-luck for the rest of the season from your SEKY fan!

As much as I would love to see Somerset beat the University of Danville, I just don't see it happening. I'll say D-48 S-21.
Could anybody tell me when the last time Somerset beat Danville was?
-
I think that we have to much speed for Harlan! However, Harlan always has been a team that can hit with anyone. I think Cumberland 26 Harlan 21
Sorry, nuh uh:fight: Reverse the score and add two touchdowns!
-
Can't tell you that. Too much info.:sssh: :sssh: :sssh:
I see, I see, good-luck to the birds though from your Southeastern Kentucky fans. Would love to see an upset, and a state title this year:thumb:

Let's just hope their physically ready, I mean playing teams like Betsy Lane and Jenkins are good confidence builders, but they don't prepare you for getting lined up and "smacked in the mouth".
-
We all know that St.X has Victor Anderson as their weapon, who is the/who are some of the weapons Highlands has?
-
Are you sure this wasn't a basketball game?
-
How's the boys on the o-line/d-line looking this year for the panthers?
-
I was really hoping for an upset for the Bobcats. You can't get better unless you play better teams. Good luck next week Bell Co.
-
Final score: 43-6.
Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy first half by the dragons. 2nd half was just an amazing display of the green dragon's talent. Jon Lundy had an explosive game with two touchdown runs that were 70+ yards.
Good win for the dragons, we go on the road next week to play Cumberland.:thumb:

In gradeschool I played for Mullins and our worst loss came from Cumberland in the Coca Cola bowl at Shelby Valley. We were scheduled to play Blackberry and as many people know that live around here neither team usually has a good record so it would make to be a great match. Well we get down there they tell us they couldnt come but they filled the spot with Cumberland.
Cumberland 97
Mullins 0
I wouldn't worry about it, considering Cumberland probably has one of the easiest scheduels in the state. Watch out Betsy Lane, the redskins are coming!

I would have to say Breathitt over top by 3-7. However, I look forward to playing them for the first time this season!
-
WOW! I guess last year it was so close cause of Mr. Burke. But what can I say? I'm just another hillbilly from SE Kentucky. (And proud to be one!)
-
LC99, how did the "MEN" on the o-line for Lynn Camp look? I can remember playing them last year, and they were...HUGE! I figured just running behind them, Roskopf could've had a one-man-show. However, I'm looking forward to our game at Lynn Camp! I would hope it would be a better one than last year.

I knew he was all-sec in football. He was an all-american in basketball and played on the olympic team and in the nba drafted by Washington but played for the Indianapolis Olympians for several years. He was also an outstanding baseball player and played all three sports in college.
Believe it or not, we still have a photograph of his senior year when they won the State Title in basketball back in 1948-1949 (I believe those are the right dates). Oh, and to add somebody to the list, I would have to say Michael Jones-Harlan High School. The last time I saw the records, he still held the national record for assists.
Also, a recent player, I would say Stewart Miller from Middlesboro. Came very close to getting some kind of a record with 3-pointers made? However, he was an awesome athelte.

I haven't followed Mc Creary Central, but I can remember my freshmen season beating them around 56-0 or 64-0. However, I was able to watch Williamsburgh against Bell Co. (which is really no match up at all, no offense to WHS), but if Mc Creary Central hasn't improved, it could get ugly. I will say WHS: 42 MCC: 0 or 7

1. Wallace "wah wah" Jones-- Harlan
2. Jermaine Brown-- Fairdale
3. Michael Bush-- Male
4. Tim Couch-- Leslie Co.
5. Brian Brohm-- Trinity
6. Derek Smith
Glad to see "Wah Wah" on there! Just for your information, (incase you already didn't know), he played in the Olympics on the basketball team, and was All-American at UK in Football, Basketball, and Baseball from what one of our teachers told us.

Charles Thomas, Harlan High School. I can't remember exactly but played varsity basketball from his eigth grade year to his senior year. Was Mr. Basketball in 95' I believe. Played some college ball at the University of Minnessota.
Week 5: Harlan vs. Breathitt Co.
in KY Football (High School)
