1. It did take about 3 hours
2. Player benches were on the opposite side of floor from most of the fans. Head coach ejected on his third T, asst. coach ejected on his 1st. Could not hear what was being said by the coaches. He seemed very calm during first two T's, so not sure what was said. He was very hot on his exit from the game.
3. Very physical play. Did not feel any were flagrant by either team. Walnut Hills played a very aggressive, full court trapping defense. The young ladies hustled. There was a lot of contact on guard penetration by both teams. A lot of blocking calls and a few offensive push off fouls. Referees were in control of this game from beginning to end.
4. Walnut Hills did not travel well, but the player parents were very vocal, but not out of hand or inappropriate. WH Bench was vocal and very supportive of their team. MS Girls BB night for CC made for a good home crowd getting very loud at times.
Both team's starters in foul trouble in 3rd. CC Coach pulled Clos/Schwarber on defense and would put them right back in on offense. Jada Scott, Mallory Busam both did a great job late against Walnut Hills center. Fun game, very physical, and got the outcome I wanted.
I am not sure I agree with this statement 100%. I feel until Burns pulled the captains & coaches together the first time it should have happened way before that and then he did it again at halftime. This opinion came from others as well. Now granted I am not sure what was said to the girls during the game by officials but I felt at times the game became a hot mess (I am not sure of another statement to use but this). I think their "control" of the game was to call a foul. At one point I made a comment to someone there, "Not everything is a foul".

Heard it was a good game, crazy, but good.
It was a hot mess.
Plus Taylor Clos had 46 points, 26 of those from the FT line.

Where was this game held?

Not only is the young man going to continue his wrestling career at West Point next year. He continues to achieve on the mat. Casey won the GMVWA at 170 this week!
Congrats and continued success! :thumb:
Love watching him wrestle.

What does the school do to encourage students to attend games and support the athletics programs? I'm not finger pointing; just curious.
Not much. I discussed this same issue with another coach before Christmas break and when they were in school (8 years ago) they would go to the games to be with their friends, there was no social media to keep in constant contact with their friends like there is now. However, when kids are at the games, if you watch them, they have their heads in their phone and really not watching the game. I really don't get it. A lot athletes buy the all season pass ($20 or $30 for students) which gets you into every home game (minus playoff & Brossart) for the whole school year. Do other larger schools have the same problems?

Bertsch is tough. Big, strong kid. Pairs very well with Heygi. A dynamite duo. Does Bertsch play other sports? Will he look to play at the next level?
Only plays basketball.

is this really scheduled for 8:00pm why so late?
Yes really at 8 and I have no idea.

Didn't see this coming….this was a 6 point game in 3rd frame. CCHS defense stoned Paris last night. Paris unable to get CCHS defense off center on their motion offense…and it would appear that was the game difference.
Huge shout out to Joel Day….this kid put clutch together all night…the back to back 3's late in 3rd (I believe) was the end IMO. Strong with the ball, head up, and took the shots when they presented. Bertsch is much, much stronger around the rim than in previous years and Hegyi was beast mode all night.
Got in the weight room this past year, makes a world of difference.

Soccer school
Nope, kids just don't come out for the games.

I believe the varsity game tips-off at 8:00 tonight. Can someone confirm?
It says 7:45 per the KHSAA app.

Curious what Franklin County lost from last year?
-
-
Campbell has really tough schedule this year as well.
Per the pre-season rankings posted here...
Franklin - 6
Henderson - 20
Mason - 12
Mercer - 2
SK - 8
Murray - 3
Sacred Heart - 4
and Male at 5 for a scrimmage

Making excuses? In case you forgot SK won! No excuses! SK made adjustments on defense and dominated the second half!
Nope haven't forgotten.
-
I think SK was looking a head to this game in the first half. 2nd half Camels didn't move the ball much at all.
Stop making excuses.

Those are some big Ifs.
How can they be down to 36? I thought they had at least twice that. They have that many injuries or what's going on with that?
They had 15 or 16 kids out vs Madison Central due to injuries or illness.
-
Defense was much more physical than they have been recently. Big shout out to the 4 "Super Sophomores" starting on Defense for the Camels for being aggressive (Peyton Anderson, Tanner Lawrence, Reid Jolly, Logan Harrod). They don't quite have the size/strength yet, but their athleticism showed last night.
He did not start but throw in Brett Kremer as well playing DL.
-
I blame the team trainer. :lol2:
Me too...ha ha ha
-
I am thinking the Camels got healthy?
I am not too sure about that had approximately 13-15 kids injured on the sideline last night from what I saw.

My knee has bothered me the last few months. I feel it's time for a consultation and wanted to start my search. Any orthopedic physicians BGP prefers?
Dr. Brian Grawe with UC Orthopedics. Very good & personable. He is in Cincinnati for all clinic hours. He is the medical director for the W&S Tennis Tournament. If you want to stay on this side of the river Dr. Colosimo (surgeon) or Dr. Divine both with UC.

Oy vey can it ever be 1 team beat another team when it comes to Highlands or SK?
-
Stats show him being credited with all 3 goals???
I don't know then. I was told it was an own goal but it could have very well been scored by him. He was right there when it happened.
Either way the kid has had a phenomenal post-season. He has had 13 goals (counting the 3 yesterday) during the post-season.
-
Colton Schnieder dominate again?
2 goals. There was an own goal (called this way) but he was in the mix on that too.

There would have been no more players. 77 fouls called & 9 players fouling out. Plus the game lasted 2 1/2 hours.
