Just a friendly heads up, the game is scheduled to kick off at 6pm. I assume it was moved up to accommodate MNH long drive home after the game.

Sloan is a special player! To be able to do what he did with JC primarily keying him, was something. He is surprisingly hard to bring down and almost always is falling forward for yardage. Although it was a less than stellar night in the stat column, you could see the star power in this kid! I was impressed with how well he was able to place the ball through the air having been inserted at QB when Wayne’s starter went down.

I will give you Madisonville played in the tougher district. But to say they played a tougher overall schedule is quite a stretch. All of the Maroons best wins are against District opponents, while there best out of district win according to Calpreps is Franklin Simpson last night, and Daviess County during the regular season. All of JC’s out of District opponents, excluding Lafayette, are ranked above Daviess County. Johnson Central has 7 wins better than anyone Madisonville has beaten. If the system was designed to reward better scheduling, and winning those games, then it seems to have worked. I know this system isn’t perfect, and needs to better reflect out of state opponents, but I like it better than the old way. It holds coaches and teams more accountable for their schedules.

Personally, I have no problem with the new system! In all honesty, I look forward to see the Maroons and Mr. Hightower in the Nest this Friday night!

I was thinking the same thing. I’m assuming kicking XP must be a struggle cause that’s what the distance of that kick would have been, just off the left hash.
