I personally don't think either one of these teams is better than last year.
FCHS lost a ton of Defensive standouts, including two college lineman, and 3-4 linebackers.
WHHS, lost Lockett who to me is the best offensive player they have had since Dylan Curry.
We will see if these teams surpass any of that talent from last year.

I hope this is the Cable 10 "Game of the week" cause its going to be a good one to watch.
Game of the week looks really good this year, last night it was like watching a college game.

I agree he would be on the field, but the question was he a starter and FCHS has some pretty good skill kids. Bad thing for him is he is going to take a beating at Hills over the course of a season, and with his size and the style of offense and the schedule I hope he can stay healthy over the course of a few years for his body to develop to match his speed, and cutting ability, and vision, and explosion and all the other things he has!

Frankfort may be in trouble til district.

Would Robinson start for FCHS?
Not sure if he would start, it takes a lot to start at FCHS as a freshman, I can not think of many over the years who were starters as 9th graders unless it was a very down year. There is learning curve in that offense and defense that takes a while to get, and normally even very gifted kids, have trouble being as consistent as the ones who have been around a while. With that being said, they have a few I have seen so far that do an awful lot of things for the varsity, special teams and Freshman Dajuan Davis scored two TD's for the Flyers last Friday and played DB as well.
As far as the Robinson kid he would be on the field varsity wise for the flyers, not sure about a starter though.

I think that hills matches up better than Shelby Valley did as far as stopping the Flyers they have similar speed in some places. Hills also boasts a really big line in several sports, interesting match up. I will wait til later in the week for my prediction.

Both teams coming of huge wins....Who wins the Cross Town Shoot out?

Who is the coach at Holmes?
-
What kind of offense we seeing out of woodford.
-
Franklin County is not surprised.
-
Hearing that FHS had a kid who played qb early last year quit this week?
-
Woodford kids will knock the snot out of your dbs, at any time before or after the whistle!! lol
FHS wins this game big, Anthony Robinson will move around a lot and hurt Paris in many ways.

He did with Boyle County in 2009, 2010 and with Lex Cath this year and next. But like you, I don't care for his public demeanor.
Yea people get tired of playing you, one your really good, and two he gets caught up in breaking records, and other antics, that people consider classless. So over time people Just do not want to fool with you. On top of that he seems to always have something to say, or complain about.

Matney is always crying about something, he plays the us vs. the world as good as any coach out there. His problem with scheduling is that he only wants to play schools nearby, which are for the most part, 1a, 2a, 3a, and not exactly cream of the crop. I am sure he could come on over to Lexington, Scott county, Boyle County, etc... and get some games scheduled.

EJ hasn't been very good but they are a team if you let them hang around that can ruin your night, ask Franklin County we turned the ball over 6-7 times up there and they whooped us.

Seems like teams on the losing ends of series such as this, down play the importance of the game, not sure if they are making excuses or try to save face. I lost to Hills when I played at FCHS. To me even if lopsided the rivalry brings out the best in each team, if your the underdog you get tougher due to the pride involved, if your the front runner you learn to play with class and execute to show off. Then add in the monetary aspect to the district who hosts each year with one of the best gate. Seems like we as adults forget that these kids all grew up together and want a shot at this game each year. This stuff is supposed to be fun. I hope it works out.

Very talented group, they are huge but it has never turned into wins for the program, maybe this year they make some noise.
-
Anyone else turn any heads? What about this young group we keep hearing about?
Not sure who done well at the camp, but as far as young group not sure, I know they have been working with a group of freshman that seem to have some nice looking kids. The Sophomore group is pretty thin if they havent picked up any kids But I believe they are a solid group.
