Tates Creek and Woodford County travel to Harrodsburg to battle in the first game of the Little Caesars Bowl at Alvis Johnson Field. Kick off is slated for 5pm Saturday August 22nd. The jackets come into the new season looking to avenge last seasons loss in the state semifinals, and get over the hump to get to Kroger Field. Tates Creek comes in off a much improved seasons year going 3-0 in their district, but had a tough first round loss to GRC in the playoffs.

Adair County Athletics is extremely excited to announce the hiring of Cameron Dukes as the next Head Football Coach of Adair County High School. Coach Dukes brings tremendous leadership, passion, and championship-level experience to the AC Football program, and we are confident he will lead the Indians back to the top of 3A football in the near future. His energy, work ethic, and commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field make him the perfect fit to lead this program into a new era. Coach Dukes played his collegiate career at Lindsey Wilson College, where he was a 3- time NAIA All-American, a member of the 2020 National Championship team, and a finalist for the prestigious William V. Campbell Trophy. During his career, he threw for more than 10,000 passing yards and compiled an outstanding 40-5 record as the starting quarterback. Most recently, Coach Dukes played professional football in the Canadian Football League with the Toronto Argonauts, where he was part of a Grey Cup Championship team, and with the Montreal Alouettes. Woodford’s offensive coordinator has taken an offensive coordinator job at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas.

Woodford’s new turf at Community Stadium. Hopefully new lights will be added before the season and hopefully a new score board.

Berea high school, hired former Woodford County player Lee Atkins. He’s coached at a few Lexington area high schools, Midway College, and Kentucky State.

Woodford County finished the season at 12-2 district and regional champions. The Jackets came up one game short of an appearance in the state 5A championship game losing to eventual state champions Owensboro. Owensboro would be Woodford’s loss to in state opponents with their second loss coming to Munford high school out of Tennessee. The Jackets will play home games on a new turf field as it’s being replaced now, with the possibility of new lights, scoreboard, and PA system at community stadium at Falling Springs.
