Meade County also had the field real wet, almost muddy. Manual still prevailed, but Meade played a lot better this time around. It's hard to beat a team twice.

St. X versus Male will be a good rematch. Can't wait to see it.

They spend no more money than any other school spends on boasting their successes. I can't believe you people are bashing Manual because it is a good place to learn. A school with an environment with good parential support and with kids who want to succeed. They don't have to recurit, if a child is leaving middle school and is a serious student, can't one see how they may want to be placed in a serious learning environment. It's a tough school to succeed in, but kids do because they are challanged and learning is high priority among the students. Manual is not the only school with good students. Ballard, Eastern, Atherton, Seneca, Butler, PRP, Male, Oldham county schools, Central, Bullitt county shcools, etc. all have good students.

So lets water down the academic pot???? Keep all the kids a little dumber??? :confused: Baaaaad Idea. and again, this is an athletic site.

Manual selects from kids that apply. They don't have to recurit students. I don't think they have an academic bench. :confused:

Manual is a good school that prepares kids for college as good as any school in the state, but were talking athletics here. Case in point... This summer a goooood football player moved to Louisville from St. Louis and wanted to attend Manual. The coaches were excited about his abilities and looked forward to his contributions. Bottom line, the kid didn't meet the academic requirements to attend, nothing against him but his grades just didn't cut it. Manual could have allowed him in on the basis of football, but Dr. Keepers said no. It's an academic school first, athletics second. The sports teams at Manual do a great job of being competive and don't recurit to do it. The have good kids who know how to work hard for the success they EARN. They play fair and win the proper way. Why is it so bad that they want others schools to do the same?????

The private schools aren't "evil", they just use their ability to recurit to their advantage, which those schools that can't deem unfair. Private schools are taking what is given to them and I don't blame them. I am just tired of the arrogance about how things are earned. :mad: What are you doing up so early anyway.

Why just those schools? Male, Manual and Scott county are just three of a lot of schools trying level the playing field for everyone. A few others are PRP, Henry Clay, Tates Creek, Iroquois, Jeffersontown, Seneca, Southern, Warren Central, Warren East, and Western, a whole bunch more on your little list.
