  1. Not sure why you keep mentioning College. It has nothing to do with High School student-athletes, playing a sport. Whether it's aloud in other states, not relevant to me. The KHSAA permits it and Coaches can choose whom they want. The topic is 9th Region Baseball, so lets get back on that path.
  2. Thanks and didn't know. Hopefully Stewart can continue getting an education somewhere.
  3. This is High School and not College, has nothing to do with anything. The KHSAA allows student-athletes to play Baseball for Varsity/JV or Middle School teams. If a Coach selects talent, then it's based off ability to help.

  5. Can't agree here. If a Coach wants to keep a certain number of Players and a Middle School age player is better already than a High School age player, nothing wrong at all with doing so. Development into the JV or Varsity, will only enhance the MS players fundamentals and adjustment into the game. If you have to make a choice, it should be based off potential to help when called on to perform and not the current grade.
  6. Never let parents run you off from Coaching.
  7. He often replies, with you may not like the answer but I will tell you how I feel. I've not heard or seen the comments, to the ESPN report or Leach so not sure. What he does need to learn, is saying "They had a Point Guard and we didn't", isn't totally the fault of the player. He can make other choices, substitutions and adjustments. Losing and winning can be tolerated but being condescending publicly, about your own players is never a good thing.
  8. UK's inability to execute a half court offense, was glaring in the part I watched. The defensive scheme and weak side help, was planned. The lack of adjustment by the UK staff, was apparent. If you can't make mid game adjustments, not going to be a very good team.
  9. You're not watching the same team play, that most of us are then. This team has a lot of problems and no sign of correcting them.
  10. Horn doubled down low and helped off the weak side. UK didn't adjust and again, PG play was atrocious. Two players can't compete in the SEC, against any good and well coached team.
  11. Didn't you say this team could/would go undefeated in SEC play?
  12. Turned the channel on this one. Coach G, getting out coached in this one.
  13. I hope the Elliott County staff, submits his accomplishments to the KHSAA. They don't compile the numbers but rely on Coaches, to submit with verification.
  14. So 2 teams, which are 1-1 will battle in out for a "play in" game, from different Districts in the 15th Region?
  15. 67% and 42pts, from beyond the 3pt line is outstanding.
  16. I like Calhoun a lot. You ask a question like that, you better prepare for the response in which he got.

  19. Often a Coach or a member of the Coaching Staff, have their CDL certification to drive. Bus Drivers are a premium during Basketball, given boys, girls, freshmen and middle school games.
  20. Congratulations and nothing more precious that a child.
  21. Didn't Coach Whitaker manage a 15-16 Babe Ruth team this past summer?
