Yes. They last hosted in 2016 when Mason County defeated August in the title game.
They defeated July in the semifinals.:lol2:

Probably once every month-and-a-half for me.
How about you?
Do they still strap you in so you don't fall out of the chair?

Sam Elsbernd is now the coach of the PC Wildcats. For the last 3 years he has been coach of the Bracken County girls. Prior to that he served as an assistant to the boys programs at Bracken, Scott and Holmes. Welcome to PC Coach Elsbernd.
-
PC came back from a 3-0 deficit after a half inning to win a very entertaining game. i believe they are now 13-3.

I have no idea who she is.
She is a graduate of PC and Thomas More College . She is a member of the Tenth Region Hall of Fame. She is on the faculty at Phillip Sharp Middle School where she has coached for the last few years.

Congratulations to Jenna Kelsch O'Hara on being named head coach of the PC Ladycats. Wonderful Choice!

Listened to Danny Weddle for years. Going to be odd not hearing him on 95.9.
Having said that, as Double Deuce said, Danny deserves all the best in retirement.
Totally agree. Got to congratulate him at the regional tourney last week.
-
So happy for our PC guy! Congrats to a fine basketball player and a great person.

Was wondering if khsaa is offering the the boys and girls sweet 16 online this year? Went to khsaa and didn’t really see a spot to buy it. I see a link for national high school stuff but wasn’t sure if this is the correct link. Does anyone know for sure if this is available for purchase this year and how to go about it?
Go to KHSAA.org and there click on the NFHS network. Follow the directions. Games for the boys' first round are advertised as being live broadcasts. i assume they will broadcast the entire tourney. Cost for one month is $9.95. There is no info there about the girls' tournament.

Originally was very high on Robertson early in the year; but, now agree with the consensus they are at least a year away. Their schedule this year cannot have prepared them for the big boys. With a significant upgrade in their schedule next year, their young talent could make a tourney run. But, not this year with only three victories over teams with winning records (Berea, Calvary Christian, and Montgomery Co.).
What he said. Black Devils may be a year away; Camels are a few days away.
-
If Harrison's starters play, they have a chance, but I believe Scott has this one under control by half time.
-
On WFTM, 95.9 for sure. Danny Weddle with the call.
And it doesn't get any better than a game called by Danny!
-
Is anyone particularly intrigued by any of these first round games?
-
Back to the game. Jolly was fantastic and easily the best player on the floor. the Camels' defense did not allow Scott many looks from beyond the arc, which seems to me to be the Eagles' strength. Very enjoyable game to watch!

Oh, I'm sorry. I should have called you Captain Obvious.
-
2nd & 3rd quarters tell the story.
Thank you, Mr. Obvious.

As for the game, Pendleton County just didn't have the speed and scoring to keep up with Paris.
Byars made it tough inside for PC. He must have had 4 or 5 blocks and challenged numerous others.
-
Game was never really in doubt.
One of the night's highlights was a fund-raiser Pendleton County had. For a $5 charge you could put someone in "jail."
This resulted in one BGPer being put in jail by another BGPer.
You owe me bail money.
-
I agree with this 100%. This is not a knock on Allen, which the PC faithful that troll this board will take it as, but Jolly is the player of the YEAR. I put year in all caps for a reason. The sad thing with this award is coaches vote on it and you cant vote for your own player. So certain coaches will vote for another senior who has 0 chance of being player of the year or even in the conversation, to "protect" their own player. Same ones will be screaming from the roof tops how it isnt fair that their player isnt considered because of an injury. Strange times we live in. Adults making it about themselves and not the players.
So once again I ask is Mr. Basketball based on accomplishments for senior year only or the student athlete's entire career. If senior year only then Allen and Moreno should not be considered. If the entire career, then they are definitely in the running. Regardless, best of luck to them at the next level.
-
I know only seniors are eligible for this award, but is it based on the senior year only or the entire high school career? I have researched the answer but have found nothing conclusive. In my opinion one should not be penalized for a season ending injury and be denied consideration when they have had wonderful careers throughout high school.

Well, we could discuss failing to make the regional in the 18/12 year or no games won in the regional.
Almost accurate- won the first game of the region in 14/15 and lost in the semis to Campbell County, the eventual region winner.
