How did Aldrich get out of high school without that free throw technique being corrected? Heck, how did he get out of middle school with it?

Thanks to some clutch free throws and sticky defense by Nick Jones the Wildcats were able to hold off the late charge by the Polar Bears. The Cats led by 13 at the half and by 15 midway in the third quarter. Bracken's defense improved in the second half and their three point shooters got hot to cut the lead to 2 at one point. This was a typical rivalry game that has intensified the last couple of years.
I really like this bracken team. Good luck the rest of the season!

I believe Deming is 0-6 since Caldwell went down. Shooters need point guards.
Agreed! Still a nice win for Pendleton.

Didn't see Monroe in the scoring column for PC. Sick, hurt?
He was there in body but may have played the worst game of his young career. He may have been sick but I don't know that. He played great the day before against Holmes. Wonderful point guard that I love to watch.
-
Pendleton had given a great effort the day before against Holmes. I don't know if mentally they had nothing left in the tank, but they certainly sleepwalked through the Lewis Co. game. Heard they had a nice comeback game against Deming on Tuesday.

103.9 F.M. out of London is carrying it. I do not think they have a internet broadcast.
They do. It is http://www.wkfc.com.

I guess it must be a secret. I haven't heard a score on this game anywhere and would like to know myself.
Scott 66-Pendleton 43 according to channel 5 last night

This game was played earlier in the year. Pendleton won on a last second shot as I recall.

After upsetting Brossart last night 61-58, the Wildcats make the trip across 22 to meet the Polar Bears on saturday night. What are your thoughts/predictions??
Polarbear, is it ok if we come via AA highway? By the way Cats in a close hard fought game.
-
How sweet that would be! Most today talked about the two missed front ends of bonus situations but the intercepted skip passes were what aggravated me most. Add in not retrieving loose balls after blocking out well and the result was a disappointing loss
-
Until one or two of the guards step up and hit some shots from outside you will see games like last night.Exactly three points were scored by guards the entire game. Mudd had a good floor game but we had the wrong people handdling the ball on some fast breaks which resulted in turnovers due to bad passing.
This team can and will improve during the season but will not compete for a regional title. Hopefully they will repeat as district champs.
-
Mason over Bracken easily and Montgomery over St. Patrick on Wednesday. Thursday's winners are Pendleton and Brossart. In the semifinals Mason will defeat Montgomery and Pendleton will defeat Brossart in a barnburner. Mason falls to Pendleton in a close one on Saturday.

What a great atmosphere at the Fieldhouse last night! So proud of our Cats, a team effort. I believe the home court advantage is negated somewhat by the fan support that travels to Maysville. Don't disregard the Cats in this one, although rebouding is a concern as it has been against almost every opponent.
What a super job by Coach Simms! He has gotten this team to overachieve. I don't know anyone that expected this team to be 17-13 and in the semifinals of the regional tournament.
