Who was injured, and how serious is it?

I think the Colonels of Cov Cath would take the prize. They are pretty comical and some of the things that they come up with are off da hook!

How are these first year football prgrams doing? If anyone has an update or even some pictures, that would be great!!

Here's the latest article
North Gwinnett rookie head coach Bob Sphire says he had no idea what kind of team he had entering the season.
He knows now. And the rest of Gwinnett County is finding out the hard way.
Decimated by graduation and a string of short-term coaches, North Gwinnett was thought to be in rebuilding mode. But two weeks into the season, the Bulldogs have knocked off Walton and on Friday night stunned last year's state finalist, Brookwood, 10-3.

I'll say 56-7.

Lexington Cathlic freshman Nick Ward is going to be a great qb.

Friday night was the first chance I had to go to a Dayton Greendevils game this season, and boy was I impressed. I've had the chance to follow this program closely through the Coach Lickert era, and this by far is the best that they have played. This is a team with very few superstars on it, but these guys understand that it takes a team effort to get the job done, and thats what they do! The offense is a very simple offense theat they have really bought into and are on their way to mastering it. On defense they were bringing it! And I mean bringing it. I know that Lloyd's players will testify, cause I saw alot of duck and covering going on over there. Hopefully people will keep overlooking the Devils, but I dont knwo if thats the best approach anymore, I think that Coach Lickert, along with Coach Deaton, and Coach Smith, have channeled the athletes at Dayton and the only direction that they are going is up!!! The 3 - 1 devils travel to Bracken County this weekend, so good luck devils and keep working hard!!!

I do know that there was a JV game saturday morning in Lexington with the tigers playing the knights of LC.

Whats the deal with those helemts. Ryle use to have a pretty decent looking logo. I guess it wasnt in the budget this year for decals.

This article was in the enquirer today. What a testament to such a great young coach and players that are wiling to do whatever they can to get better.
Before a recent practice, Dayton football players marched down the flood wall in a single-file line to their tiny practice field near the river. Silently, they carried equipment along the top of the green mound and eventually down its side.
Filing through an opening in a chain-link fence they walked onto the field and began warm-ups. Stephen Lickert, the coach who's transformed them from the laughingstock of Northern Kentucky high school football to a respectable team and a possible playoff contender, stood to the side. As he watched his players do what they're supposed to do, he hoped they'll be able to do something they're not supposed to.

This line is the best all around that Dale has had. I believe the '92 line was the best in at least the past 20 years. My knowledge of HHS football doesn't allow me to comment on lines before 20 years ago.
That line was pretty impressive with John Schlarman, Rob Reynolds, Chuck Herfel, Drew Meyer and others rotating in. I believe the 96 line was just as impressive when Toby"Class Presdient" Hlad, Jason"Too Cute" Pratt, Brandon"Fix it" Bush Scott"Buckeye Bound" Kuhnhein, and Nathan "China Rat"Lindeman, led the birds to a 15- 0 record. Another year that was very successful was the senior year of Lorenzen & Co Inc. when Zack Horbach at 6'7 200lbs played center with Dave Laber at a guard along with Brandon Cook at tackle, and a cast of others including Matt Raaker when he wasnt falling apart, blocked for a team that scored 801 points in a season.

I am taking in the field conditions, down at hells' half acre into account. With the devil's official paint crew coming in on Thursday night, in full force it should be in perfect shape for the Greendevils to do some damage to the jugs! I'll take Dayton in a nail biter 28-24!

I am not even going into who wins...I am more interested in the important things like.....is the "Big Red Bus" going to be there???
I will put in a call to see what I can find out. But that is definitely the best part of the trip. Between Sweeperboy, Boom, tdyballgame, and backtoauction, and I almost forgot spaghetti head, it should be a rockin' in the rock pile next to PBS on Saturday afternoon!!!

Is it MacAfee and Ms. MacAfee that closed down the rail?
-
Congrats devils! Hopefully the success will carry over to tommorrow night against the wildcats!
-
This is a great post, but what these guys are doing now is a testament to how good they really are! I know where Bush and Lorenzen are, but where are some of these other athletes in their lives.

Sometimes you should read the posts before making a comment that makes you look foolish. I've posted 2 replies on this thread, and neither have I predicted a win, nor a loss.Maybe you should go back and read them. Lets just say may the best team on that night win and leave it at that.
So I'm guessing you mean that Dayton will be the victor!

Can we get any pictures of any of these changes

I do know the TEDFROMVILLAHILLS hangs out in there.

That indicates one thing to me. Elder is probably not going to win this football game Fri night and why go and watch a loss to a KY team when you could be sitting in Price Hill Chili waiting for your turn at the KAROKE machine.
Singing priceless classics!!
-
You guys will be suprised!

Elder getting 2,000 tickets is a pretty nice deal for them. That's about 40% of the total tickets available. When CCH went to Elder, CCH got 2,000 tickets in a 10,000 seat stadium.
Thats how people on the other side of the river are! Just read on Yippi.com

Donny "Franklin" Walker and Kalen Ammons definitely came out guns a blazin. But once again Catholic had too many weapons, and puts too much stress on the most important phase of the game, special teams. This was definitely the difference maker. Also Catholic must have gotten their kicker situation solved. Logan Payne was 5 for 5 on extra points and hit a field goal close to forty yards long. Kudos to Coach Letton and his staff for being ready again! Go Knights!!!!
