My thought would be Mike Zuckerman at Lafayette. He's the Def. Cordinator whose def help lead Lafayette to an undefeated season and he is the Head Coach of the Horseman who lost in Chapionship game in the Indoor league

He not the defensive coordinator at Lafayette he is an offensive coach there.

WVA will be the highest ranked opponent ever and likely UL may never face that high of ranked opponent at home again. UL is considered the uderdog by most. So with that in mind is it a goalpost game if UL wins? If not there may never be one again if this one is not. What do you think! I say yes it is!

C'mon Louisville and coach petrino has brainwashed these kids into thinking that they will win every game! Which I feel is an important thing to do. I was a part of a powerhouse high school football program, and not once did we have doubt that we were going to lose. we ended up 15-0.. Louisville will be so hyped. I just hope WV doesnt dance on the bird, it'll be a long night for the boy in blue and gold.

Ok call me crazy but I have NOTHING to do on days that I don't work and so I was thinking. What NFL mascot would lose and win in a fight? Like if an actual bengal tiger and a raven like the actual animals got into a fight who would win? Obviously the bengal would win because tigers eat birds. What mascot would win it all? Which one would lose to every mascot? I would say the dolphins would lose because dolphins are pretty much defenseless. I would say the winner would the Chargers, because anything that lightning strikes is pretty much done for. :laugh: I realize I sound like an idiot but I am THIS bored on days that I don't have to work.

If the Greendevils can atleast get into the 1st qtr without feeling like the game is over... they will put up a fight. I think Lickert was quoted last time they played as saying..." we were defeated the minute they (Beechwood) got off the bus"...correct me if I am wrong. It is pretty harsh coming from the head coach but many times true. Its all in your head.... if you think you can... you can.

Atleast Beechwood doesnt have to get off the bus. So that got that goin for them. But in all seriousness..... Anybody can beat anybody on any given night. Look for the devils, the coaches, and the toothless wonder to play with a lot of heart and maybe shock NKY.

IMO Dayton has not scored the "upset win" that their coach has referred to.

 

He said (paraphrasing) that "Dayton has beaten the teams they should or could beat but have not defeated a team they shouldn't beat in the recent years".

To me Grant County and Lloyd this year are not those teams and I believe they are not the teams the coach is looking to beat that they should not.

 

I got to think he is referring to Beechwood or NCC or maybe even Holy Cross this year. Those are teams that Dayton normally would not beat when those teams are having their normal "up" years and an upset win over one of them is what he needs to ignite the program.

I agree. Eventhough they got some quality wins, they were picked to win those games. It looks like from the picks on this page, they arent suppose to win. BUT THEY WILL!!! This will lead them into knocking off Beechwood. Which would qualify as an upset win only because they havent done it in a long time, regardless of the talent levels. Anytime you get the monkey off your back against a team that has gotten the best of you for a while its a big win.

I'm with you LN, I will be pulling for the Devils as well. The major concern that I have is no secret, depth. Even though NCC has taken some lumps they are two and three deep at some positions. Hopefully Dayton still has the first quarter fire in the fourth. If thats the case look for hells half acre to be rockin!!!
